The Performance

Nicks Pov

"Bro why are you so spaced today? You need to focus, our first concert is tonight man." Zion said as he walked up to me.

I was still thinking about last night, even though the conversation was small it still meant a lot. I really did want to get to know her and hang out with her. I wonder if she meant it. And I haven't told the boys that I'm into her. We've only known each other for less than 24 hours but still, I really think we could be something. I should tell them soon.

"I know, I'm sorry. I'm just nervous" I was nervous, even though I've been on stage millions of times, performing in front of people, I still get really nervous.

"We're all nervous, but you still need to focus, cause if not your gonna mess up, and make us look bad." Austin said as he walked over to us.

"Okay, I'll focus, my mind is just drifting." I huffed as I got up from my seat.

"Who are you thinking about? The girl from the party the other night or Nena?" Edwin chimed in.

"Oh its Nena." Brandon said.

"What do you mean?" I asked trying to play it off.

"Come on Nick, we know you. You like Nena." Zion put his hand on my shoulder.

"But how could I? I've only known her for 24 hours. If that." I squinted my eyes.

"Don't even lie, yeah its only been 24 hours but you should have seen the look on your facee when you saw her, plus you were staring at her all night." Brandon said.

"And you even walked her to her car, who knows wha happened then." Austin smirked.

"Fine, I'm into her." I confessed.

Just thinking of her makes me feel anxious, but how could I? I've only known her for so little time. Maybe I'm just into her looks, I don't even know what she's really about. Who she is, I don't even know her last name, or favorite color. This just means I need to get to know her better.

"You guys need to go do sound check." Rachel came and told us.

We got up and headed on stage and got in our positions.

Nena Pov

I was running late, but since I sped through traffic I was at least they're only 15 minutes late. Rachel had been calling me the whole time I had about 15 missed calls, one call each minute I was late.

Once I parked, I called her as I grabbed purse and raced through the door.

"Nena! Where are you?!?" She answered

"I just walked through the front entrance. There was tons of traffic."

"I'm sending someone to get you. But you can stay for a little."

"Okay that's fine.... thanks. Sorry for being late."

"It's okay..... okay I need to go. Sore you in a bit." She hung up the phone.

"Nena, right this way." Someone tapped me on the shoulder and walked away wanting me to follow them.

We reached the back. I see Austin and Edwin in mid conversation. They were at the snack table.

"But you can't tell her. We know how you are with secrets." Austin was telling Edwin.

"Hey guys!" I smiled as I approached them.

Their eyes widened as they saw me.

"Neeenaaaa. Hey! It's uh great to see you. Ummm I'm so glad that your here." He said trying to cover up.
