It's a Friday night, I had just ordered Pizza. I had my laptop on my lap and a movie on in the background. I was comfortable, and ready to spend it by myself. I sinked myself into the couch.

*beep* *beep*

It was a text from Brandon

You wanna come to a kickback tonight?

I don't know, I'm kinda tired

and I already ordered a pizza...

Oh come on, you haven't hung out with us in forever.

Yeah I know.

So.... Are you going to come with us?

Well I just ordered a pizza, or else I would!

I don't know, it's just hard with Nick there.

You know what happen. It's just awkward.

I'll keep you away from him.

Ok, fine. When and where?

Welllll, its here at the house and it starts at 9:00pm.

Ok, I'll be there.

Ughhhhh, I mentally sighed and lifted myself off the couch.  I looked at the clock, 7:45.  I have an hour until I have to leave. I picked a comfy outfit, he said it was kickback right. I picked a cropped grey hoodie, ripped jeans, and my checkered slip on vans.

Its 8:45, I canceled the pizza. What am I going to do if Nick approaches me? He probably won't but still. I thought I would have been over it by now, but I still think about him. What if he isn't feeling the same way and I embarrass myself, then what will I do? Damn.

I arrived at the house and it was... empty. It was already 9:15. I thought people would have been here by now. Maybe it really is a kickback. Just take a deep breath and open the door.

"Hey, Nena." I hear from behind me. I turn around.

"Heyyy!" I replied, it was Zion. I ran and hugged him.

"Long time no see, why don't you come around anymore?" He picked me up and spun me.

"Just business, since I've been here. All meetings, all the time. And its only been 2 weeks, since I've seen you." I giggled.

He laughed.

"Well it felt like 2 years. I've missed having you around everyday."

"I've missed seeing you too Zion." I turned and faced the door, I looked over at him. He winked and opened the door.

We walked in and I look around, still expecting a lot of people. Even though I saw the number of cars outside.

"Everyone is out back." Zion pointed as he shut the door behind us.
