Laying in the tall grass that almost covered my body completely. I laid there enjoying the warm breeze flow past me, feeling the warm sun kiss my golden skin. The quietness of it all put me at ease. But that was short lived when the sound of laughter made its way to my ears. I could recognize those laughs anywhere, my little brothers Adonis and Aetius. As they got closer I tried my hardest to block them out as much as possible

"Amour!" They shouted still laughing.

I let go a sigh in defeat and sat up only to be smacked right back down with both of them on top of me. Slowly I opened my eyes to see there large brown ones. Even though I wanted to glare at them I couldn't help the small smile to creep on my face. The love I had for these two could not be explained. "Cthylla wants to see you." Adonis said out of breath, I moved them off me so I could stand. Cthylla was the oldest that lived in the village, she treated everyone like family. But she took a special liking to me and my brothers. Her words are that we remind her of the grandchildren she once had. Our mother and her were very close before my mother passed away. Her death was a mystery to everyone but I have come to terms about that. My brothers have also moved on and at such a young age I was really proud of them. They started to pull on my arm letting me know they wee ready to go. Walking through the village everything was normal. People doing the usual cleaning, planting and whatever else they do while the kids just played. It's been this way for centuries and it will continue to be that way. We made it to the front of the village to a small hut. Adonis tried to walk in and I pulled him back. He gave me pleading eyes but I shook my head. We can't just go in an see her exactly, she has to send for us or just be walking around. "Tell her to come out and play", Aetius said. I let go of there hands and they went off to play with the other kids. I pulled back the cover and stepped into the hut. Cthylla was sitting in her chair with her eyes closed. Before I had a chance to speak she did. "Come Amour." She raised her hand for me to take. Making my way to her, I grabbed her hand and knelt down in front of her. She slowly opened her eyes showing me how grey they were. A very long time ago she lost her sight but is still able to lead people in the right direction. "How are you my dear?" I just shrugged my shoulders. "Use your words Amour."

"I'm fine, like any other day." She gave me a small smile.

"Love, no day is the same and neither is the emotions everyday we feel something new. I asked you to come because I have something for you." She pointed to a small box that I didn't know was next to me. I picked it up and opened it. A pendent had a moon and it looked absolutely beautiful. I was lost for words, she has given me things before but this was beyond anything.

"I found it and immediately thought of you. Would you like me to put it in you?" She slowly took the box and pulled the pendent out. A silver chain was attached, it sparkles even in the dark. I turned and lifted my hair so she could put it on me. The coldness of it sent a chill through my body. I took time to admire it as I turned to face her again.

"I don't know what to say.", I spoke honestly. Her warm hands cupped my face.

"Love there is nothing to say just wear it with pride." Nibbling at my lip I lunged to hug her and she let out a hmph sound. Of course she returned the gesture. "Thank you Cthylla." She patted my back and let me up. Before I could walk out I turned to her once more. "You should come out the boys would love to see you." Without getting an answer I walked out playing with my necklace. I was in my own little world when someone bumped me. My first reaction was to protest but I realized who it was.

"Excuse me."

"No hello Amour?" He laughed

"Hello Bastian, now excuse me." He looked down at my neck and touched the necklace.
