I stayed to myself for about the whole day just thinking about my last words to Kota. I promised him everything was going to be okay and they would protect him. But now he's gone and I didn't keep my word and that ate me up. But I couldn't keep dwelling  on the situation all I could do is hope he can forgive me and keep moving on.

"Amour!" Livia came running to me. "Come quick Rayo is about to speak in Cthyllas hut." We both ran the the front of the village, whatever he was going to say couldn't be good. In the hut a couple of adults, Rayo, Cthylla, Bastian, Kotas parents and Zae were standing around. Everyone stood and waited for him to speak.

"The lost of the boy is our call to action." The boy? He couldn't even address him correctly or even the others? Already he was making my blood boil with anger. "To avenge him we must continue with my first plan and go into the woods I will choose people to go."

"You can't be serious." Everyone looked at me for speaking out of line.

"Little girl this will be your last time you speak out of line to me." He hissed.

"You want to send people but have no clue what you're sending them to. Your are being senseless and might as well killthem yourself."

"Would you not act on the matter at all!?"

"I wouldn't send innocent people out to die! They are supposed to be family and you show no care for them." He got up from his chair and walked until he was directly in front of me.

"The decision has already been made."

"Cthylla will never agree to this." He let an evil smile come upon his face and backed away.

"Ask her yourself." I looked at her and could already tell she had agreed to this thing he called a plan.

"Cthylla...." All she did was shake her head and looked elsewhere. She know this was wrong we had no clue what we were walking into. Things have been peace and in order and they are gonna break this cycle we have without a care.

"Bastian you will go pick four other people to go with you." Zae tapped Bastian on the shoulder and whispered in his ear. I couldn't believe we were going through with this. No one was going to do anything. Then he was sending Bastian back in there and like hell if I was going to let him do this alone.

"I'll go." I said and Rayo froze.

"Absolutely not. You will not put yourself in danger." Cthylla said

"How is my life any different from anyone else's!?" She wasn't even going to answer because I knew she couldn't. She had no choice but to let me go because it was my decision.

"Very well then." Rayo said and I knew he was trying to keep the smile away. Bastian looked at me like he wanted to kill me but my mind was already made up. "Then it's settled you all will leave tonight." Not wanting to be in Rayo's presence anymore I stormed out of the hut.

I couldn't stop myself from being angry at Cthylla, she agreed with him despite the possible consequences. Her of all people should've been the first to speak up not me. Pushing the anger away I had bigger things to do, like break the news to my brothers. They were drawing in the dirt when I walked up to them. "Guys I need to talk to you." I sat down next to them and they looked happy as always. Sadly nothing about this was going to be happy. "I have to leave tonight." They both showed confusion.

"Why?" Aetius asked.

"There's something very important I need to go do. Livia will be here with you guys I promise I won't be long. I'll be back before you know it."

"Can we go with you? Pleas we promise to be good." Adonis begged to me.

"Not this time buddy. I need you guys here to help Cthylla. She really needs to be around you." They both smiled at the sound of her name. Being around her always seemed to brighten up their day. Since me and her really weren't on the best of terms she needed to be with someone that was always very close to her.

"Promise you'll come back." Adonis said and I pulled them both into a hug trying to hold back tears.

"I promise, I love you both."

"We love you too." They said in unison and I giggled. My biggest fear was this would be the last time I got to hug them. But I was going to make it my mission to reunite with them.

Livia glared at me the entire time I gathered my things. She kept going on and on about how crazy I was for volunteering to go. Of course she agreed to watch my brothers as long as I kept my promise to them. Cthylla and I haven't spoken a word to each other and I'm really not bothered by it. As much as I love her there isn't anything I could possibly say to her. The people going were myself, Bastian, Zae, Moni, and Kotas dad. Moni was another that volunteered but I didn't know why. Kotas father Sadi also asked if he could join. Although his wife was completely against the idea he needed some type of closure. Only a few knew about our little departure, we didn't need the whole village worried. Before I could move Livia hugged me. "I really don't like you right now." She said as I hugged her back. I knew she was mad at me but I had to be there for Bastian. Finally she let me go and I went to stand by Bastian. He also has not said one word to me. Cthylla blessed each of us and we started to leave but she grabbed my arm. "Amour please reconsider this." How could she stand here and beg me not to go but she had the power to call this whole things off.

"The decision has already been made." I slowly pulled away and followed the group without looking back. The farther I got away from the place I called home the more this uneasy feeling came to my stomach. I had to push the feeling away for now and concentrate on the task at hand.

We've been walking awhile making a little to no noise at all. Night time was approaching us faster than we expected. We stopped some tracks that were possibly theirs so we followed them. I kept getting the feeling that we were being watched but my eyes stayed forward. The sound of a large snap caused us all to stop. We all pulled out a weapon and another snap was heard. The rustling sound got louder I slowly backed away. I think everyone was expecting something vicious but instead a small rabbit hopped out. Immediately our bodies relaxed. Moni went to pick it up before it could hop away. "We gotta keep moving." Bastian said. After a few more seconds of running it she finally put it down and started walking again.

Making it a little more farther away we decided to sleep for the night. We were going to take turns on keeping watch. Moni said she would go first and then I would go after her. I laid down in the grass trying to compare it to the grass I laid in at home. But this grass was patchy and it just didn't feel the same. I looked over to Bastian who had already fallen asleep. Sadi rubbed at the necklace that once belonged to Kota. I unintentionally grabbed the one Cthylla gave to me. Everything in me wanted things to be different. Some people don't deserve what happens to them but I guess everything happens for a reason
