The sun had peaked and still no sign of him.Our mother had gone to look for him.we watched as dark clouds began to show signs of rain.Would the sky mourn with us?hopefully not.misty tended to ask who had a broken leg.the dogs bite had crushed it.Our mother returned and held her head low.Not long after the sky let loose. The rain bathed the forest in cool.our mother checked on ash then slumped down.she had begun eating a mouse.the one our father dug up.The crying sky showed no signs of stopping.Ash has the biggest and misty was the smallest.soon we would leave our mother.by summer we all would be alone.misty curled up with ash who sat in the very back.
I watched the rain pour down without mercy.thunder created a loud echo.and lightning filled the sky.
"Don't fret,"mother sounded more like herself."we'll be ok,"she gently licked my ear.
Winter had set in and we all were hungry.Ash had stepped up to help hunt.misty and i also volunteered but were told to stay.food was scarce and safety was even more scarce.wolves had started getting closer.each day the grew closer.
I slumped down and rested.my mind began to wander.
