I felt lost. Her blue eyes consumed me.Her perfect white fur matched the air around us.
"We should go,"I mumbled looking away. Her eyes lite up at that. She was scared again. But no for me."I'll help you,"i said turning to run.Blizzard leaned against me.She was freezing.I lead her away from the cabin.Away from the man.And away from the wolves.
"What now,"she sighed. She sounded the same way she did when i met her.
"We find a den and hunt,"i made the assumption she would stay with me.She had said we were partners not mates.Witch did she mean?
"We can make one by the creek,"she yiped. My tail flicked with joy."winter is ending,"she said.
"It seems like it never will,"i whined.
"Nothing lasts forever,"Her words hurt to hear.We would not last forever.I would not last forever and neither would she.
"Spring is coming,"i finally responded.she noticed my tone and nudged me.
"We don't have to last forever to know forever,"the words that she spoke were true.We would have our own forever. Our own world. When spring came.
Our walk soon came to an end when we reached a creek.the water wasn't frozen.Blizzard pushed forward limping to a spot a few paces away from the creek.I stayed back until she said something.
"Here,"she announced with complete confidence.I eyed it up.It look far enough away.If it flooded we would be fine.
"Alright,"i stepped up and started digging.the dirt was cold and clumpy. It took we a while but once it was done i wad left with a den,a mate, and a strange feeling. This feeling of guilt bit at me like a tick.Barely noticeable but lethal.
Blizzard slipped inside.the dirt around us was cold.It would stay that way till it got used to us.She looked happy.Thats what i wanted.
"We just met,"she said sounding upset.
"So,"i didn't care.i loved her all the same.
"Im weak and i don't get why you would want to help me,"she cried softly.i let her go on but she didn't.
"You were born that way it isn't your fault,"i tried to reassure her.
"Wasn't born this way,"she began,"when u was a pup i got stuck in a trap and i crushed my foot.the kind man set me free,"she sighed.
I stood up and curled around her.I felt her muscles relax as she laud down. Her head and paws laid on my flank.
   "I love,"u whispered.Her gentle breath was enough of a response.She slept softly.And slowly so did i.
