Shadows (Villain! Deku)

Chapter Five

"We meet again, Izuku."

"Yes we do, and even though we met yesterday, I'm different."

"Hm how so?" The shadow's voice asks, showing a hint of amusement.

"Well, for one, I'm a villain now."

"No one becomes a villain overnight, everyone has a villain inside of them, it's just yours was stronger, also, I may have helped a little. Anyways, you've matured a bit. Not fully, but a little bit at least. You used to have a childish dream, of becoming the "top hero," but not look at you. Even your clothing has changed in one day, you look exactly like me."

"You're right, anyways, do you have a name? I can't just keep referring to you as "the other me," now can I?"

"Hmm my name, huh? How about-"

"Izuku, are you ready for this mission? You don't have to do this you know, don't force yourself."

"No, it's fine, it's just one step closer to be a villain, now isn't it." Izuku responds to Toga.

"Izuku Midoriya, can I talk to you for a second?" Tomura asks.

"S- sure," even though Izuku isn't as scared of Tomura as he used to be, there's still a part of him that's a bit frightened.

They go far enough so they're not within ear shot of Toga or Dabi.

Tomura puts an arm around Izuku, and whispers, "Listen, I want you to get more comfortable around us. After this mission, you'll definitely be closer with the rest, but for now, call me Tomura. We've had our differences in the past, but now we're on the same side, right, Izuku?"

"Right!" He says determined, showing a little bit of the old him.

They then head back towards Toga and Dabi. "Okay, so the mission is to sneak in. Avoid anyone if you can, we only need the intel. Thanks to Izuku, we know that they have intel on All Might that is top secret. Of course only one person controls it, the friend of All Might's, who's the police officer. Today he's off duty. We need to hack into the computer, and put the intel onto a microchip," Tomura explains.

*Izuku's POV*

Everyone nods, and then Tomura leaves, trusting us with this mission by ourselves.

Toga heads in first, to make sure there are no guards and the coast is clear. "Hey, kid, listen up," Dabi says, facing me.

"Y- yeah?" I ask, a bit nervous, since he seems so serious.

"Let's get along well, we're comrades after all."

I smile to myself, there was nothing to worry about, and I look up at him, "Of course~"

Toga comes out of the building, giving us the thumbs up. We decided that Dabi goes around the back and climbs the emergency stairs, while Toga and I go from the inside.

"Ahh Izuku I'm scared!" Toga whispers, clinging onto my arm, an obvious attempt in trying to flirt with me.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you darling~"

She grins, but I'm shocked, did that really just come out of my mouth?

"Quite a flirt, now aren't we?"

"So now you can talk to me while I'm awake?"

"I always could, but I didn't want to distract you..."

"What do you m-"

I'm awoken from my thoughts, as I bump into a metal pole in front of me, making quite a bit of noise.

Toga pulls me over to the side, covering my mouth. "What was that noise?" A distant voice asks. "Probably a rat," another distant voice responds. "I don't think a rat makes that much noise, we should take a look." The two people start walking towards Toga and I.

Toga whispers into my ear, "We're going to have to fight." She let's go of my mouth, and pulls out a knife.

"W- wait," but it's too late, the two people have already approached them, and Toga is already running at them, with a knife in hand.

One person, who was holding coffee, dropped their coffee and avoided Toga's attack. I'm still hidden in the shadows.

"Run! I'll hold them off, complete the mission! If you don't do this, you won't prove yourself worthy!" I start running, making sure they won't see my face.

"Hey! There's another one!" Person two yells, but person one responds, "Leave him! You go call backup!"

Person two then heads off into the opposite direction of me, while person one is fighting Toga.

I rush up the stairs, not even stopping to catch my breath. I remember coming here before with All Might, but it wasn't as nearly as tiring, since they have an elevator. I don't use it, cause I can't afford getting stuck in there.

I push the door open, and once I'm inside the room, I drop to my knees to catch my breath.

A hand reaches out to me, and I look up and see it's Dabi's. I take it, and he pulls me up.

"Took you long enough, I can't figure this out, I got it unlocked and everything, but I can't find the information, are they hiding it?"

"Yeah," I say, immediately taking over control. I type in a few numbers, a few letters, and then pops up the screen for All Might's information.

This info isn't really necessary to the league. Sure it has a few things they might be able to use to their advantage, but they already know most of the things. And some of the things they don't know, they could just ask me.

Dabi's putting all of the information into the microchip. It takes a while, so I keep watch on the door.

"Freeze! This is the police!" I hear someone yell through a megaphone.

"Dabi, what should we do?"

"That's your problem, I have to figure out how to make this process quicker."

I bite my tongue, trying to think of a strategy, and then it hit me, my new quirk.

A few police officers storm inside, holding guns, so I lick my lips, and get ready.
