You all remember the Nightmare Before Christmas... jack was tired of the same old thing... found Christmas town... wanted to be Santa Claus, or as the people of Halloween town call him; sandy claws. And in the end, everything was back to normal and him and sally fell in love.
Well, let us continue 2 years later after all that happened. Jack and sally have been married for 2 years and have been happy ever since. However... sally isn't able to conceive a child. And they have been wanting one dearly...
Sally looked down at her hands, which were resting in her lap, folded together. She looked out the window, watching the monsters play with their families. A soft sigh escaped her ruby red lips, wishing she and her love jack had a child of their own.
"Sally?" A voice called out, making her lift her head and look in the direction where the voice was coming from.
It was Jack, tall and deathly handsome as usual, his eye sockets looking into his wife's jet black pupils. He walked towards her and knelt down in front of her, gently placing a bony hand over his.
"I'll be back in a few minutes my dear. I'm going to go to the cemetery and make sure everything is all set up for Halloween, alright?"
Sally looked at her husband and nodded. "Of course love. Be safe."
Jack smiled before kissing her cheek tenderly. "Always am." He said before before kissing her lips.
He pulled away and stood up before walking away, leaving sally to continue staring out the window.
Jack walked through the gates and closed them before slowly walking around the cemetery. He hummed softly to himself as he placed his long, skinny arms behind his back. But his walk was cut short when he heard...
Crying? Who was out here?
He looked around, scanning the cemetery. "Hello? Who's there?" He asked cautiously. He got closer and closer to the whimpers and soft cries coming from behind one of the tombstones.
Coming to a tall tombstone, he peeked over it and what he saw shocked him.
A blonde teenage girl had her back against the tombstone, her arms hugging her knees against her chest. And... she seemed to be shaking.
Jack, so as not to startle her, slowly walked around the tombstone, not taking his eye sockets off her.
"Are you alright miss?" He asked, which caused her to gasp, her head snapping up to look at him. Jack got a closer look at her.
No stitches... no fangs... no claws... she was human.
"W-who are you?" She asked, her breath trembling. It was so cold outside, her breath was visible. Goosebumps outlined her pale skin, which jack noticed.
"My names is jack skellington. And what about you?" He asked politely as he looked down at her.
Her lips looked a little blue as well, her skin as white as a ghost.
"B-Bella..."
Bella? What a beautiful name.
He noticed how pale she was and how much she was shivering. For some reason, his heart strings were being pulled. Why? He didn't know.
"You look awfully cold. Why don't you come back with me?"
Then she said something that pulled on his heart strings even more.
"Y-you won't hurt me will you?" She asked, fear in her voice.
Why would she say something like that? Did something happen?
"Of course not, my dear girl. I promise." He said softly as he extended a bony hand towards her. She looked at his hand, contemplating whether or not she should go with him. She only just met him... but she didn't want to freeze either.
She slid her hand in his and he helped her up. But she had been out there for so long that all of her body was freezing. Her legs gave out but jack was quick enough to catch her in his arms.
"You're so cold..." he whispered worriedly as he looked down at her. He gently picked her up and placed her on his back, his hands under her thighs so she wouldn't fall. Her arms were around his neck, her legs around his waist. Her teeth chattered as jack ran as fast as he could.
About 20 minutes went by and sally had fallen asleep where she had been sitting, waiting for jack to come home.
Once the door closed, zero, their ghost dog, started barking. She jolted awake, her eyes snapping open.
"Jack?" She called out as she stood up, her eyes locking on Jack. She saw the shivering girl on his back.
"Who is this?" She asked as jack carried her upstairs, zero not far behind. Sally followed them and watched jack gently lay her down on the bed, wrapping her in blankets.
"This is Bella. I found her in the cemetery... poor thing is freezing." He said as he watched the poor girl curl up into a tight ball under the warm covers.
"Will you get a warm cloth love?" Jack asked.
Sally nodded as she rushed to the bathroom, rinsing a cloth with warm water. She made her way back to the bedroom and draped the cloth across the girls forehead before kneeling down next to her.
"My name is sally sweetheart." She cooed softly. Sally is very gentle, kind, and caring, Jack very much the same... even though he IS the Pumpkin King.
"It's going to be alright." She reassured her as zero floated towards Bella.
"Easy zero." Jack said, worried that zero might startle her. But it was actually the complete opposite.
Zero sniffed her before he laid down beside her. He liked her already.
Jack and sally looked at each other before looking back at the girl.
"T-thank you so much..." she said, slowly starting to warm up. Sally gave a soft smile as she moved the blankets over her shoulders.
"You're welcome sweetie. Now get some rest. You're safe with us."
