Outside our ship, was another ship. shaped like ours but, scarier looking. Davis was still frozen.

"It can't be." Davis muttered to himself. Letting me down, Our pod dock door was opening. The sound of the hydraulics, pulled me out of my haze. If they opened the door we would die. I don't want to be sucked into space. It seems like it would be a tad depressing. As the door started opening, I closed my eyes tight.

I waited but it never came. I snapping my eyes open when I heard clicks, footsteps. The footsteps were deep, like a pair of combat boots. I opened my eyes. Right in front of was what could only be described as a human. A human... soldier.

"Hello, and who might you be?" He asked. I promptly gave into my conciousness.

"Evelina? Come on." My vision was blurry as I started to crack them open. Surely enough, Davis and the other fellow were standing over me.

"What did you do, Davis?" The cleanshaven, man with his crew cut, and baby blue eyes asked Davis.

"Maser, I didn't do anything, your lot freaked her out. Now come on Evelina. Up you get!" Davis helped me to my feet, as I studied this Maser fellow. I meet his eyes, and looked to Davis.

"You know each other." I said matter-of-factly. Staring at the two men, I jolted up.

"Is everyone okay? What happened? I thought it was the Last Days again. Who is that, Davis? He looks like a soldier. Who are you? How did you get here? I thought we were the only survivors." I stopped to take a breath and calm down.

The two looked at each other and me. I sighed exasperated. Davis looked at me, before speaking carefully.

"This is Maser, Maser This is Evelina." His tone was crisp and almost rude. I stepped towards Maser, and shook his hand.

"Do you come here often?" I asked with cheek. He smiled at me

"No, not on weekdays. I am Maser Fells, a solider for E.C.C.O. Pleased to meet you." His eyes were curious.

"Echo? What is that?" I studied Davis, for a minuted he was extremely quiet. I nudged him, with my hand. "How do you know him? What is Echo? How is he here?" I asked sharply, rather annoyed now.

"E. C. C. O. It is the Extraterrestrial Communications and Covert Operations unit. They are basically space soldiers, who attempt to deal with Aliens, and get killed in the process." Davis high cheekbones cast a shadow, and his ruffled hair, made him quiet frightening as he spoke in suck a cruel tone

"They aren't that bad. Masters! You should know. You worked for them" Maser shouted. I stepped back from the two.

"Who are you?" I questioned Davis. I turned to Maser,

"If you will excuse me, I need to find my Uncle." I walked off briskly searching for Max, and leaving Davis.

I walked to the meeting room. Nearing it I heard many voices.

"CoreQuest.... E.C.C.O.... Billions Lost..... Aliens.... Planet.." I heard snips of the conversation leaning against the metal door. I decided to knock, we they quieted down. The door opened and I slipped inside.

"Ells! You alright? Why don't you go to your quarters for a bit? I will come and get you later" For the second time my uncle had dismissed me. I left, sharply. They say I am not useless. Yet, I know nothing! I frowned to myself before going to the kitchens.

In the kitchens, I made me some Hot Chocolate. Sitting on the counter. I tried to piece together what was going on. The headache it gave me proved how ill-informed I was. I got up, walking out the kitchen exit heading to the lounging centre. I ran smack into a uniformed solider much like Maser.

"Umph." I muttered as my backbone hit the floor. The man in front of me analyzed me. He soon offered his hand. He looked like the other, Maser. He had the same blue eyes. I bet they are related. I grasped his hand and pulled myself up. He looked me over, not impolitely and said

"Who are you?" His baritone voice, was just as I would expect of a military man.

"I am Ells, who are you?" My tone was crisp. I hated to be rude, but this had been a rough night.

'"Private Taylor Fells, solider of the 1st Platoon of E.C.C.O. What is your position, aboard this ship?" He seemed to serious. I sighed, and sat myself down, with an ungraceful thump.

"Freeloader. No position, just here. In space, for no particuliar reason. Apparently, a insolent child, that needs to be guided to her bedroom." I said with a rising anger. I blushed sheepishly at my rant. "Sorry. Err. I am nothing important. I believe that was your question." The man sighed.

"Do you know where Davis Master is?"
