Incomplete

I should report of that which I say I saw
But know not how to do so.
From a perspective of outside,
I saw the hunger and desire.
She craves what she has no need.
The hunger spoken in tongues,
The desire in actions.
I could feel the withdrawal,
I could sense her need.
There is a love for which she cannot have.
She mourns past love,
She breathes memories of past.
She is I.
And I wish for something that is not mine.
I see a specimen of affection,
It draws me forward.
I hold the knowing of anguish,
Yet I strive.
I hold a passion,
Yet I cannot win.
Within this time I shall learn a new,
I shall thenceforth know what is to be.
They will either leave or stay.
I will have or leave empty handed.
I have that feeling,
That feeling of sorrow.
I would hate to eat away the shell,
But what of that shell let me in anyways.
Could you block me out,
Could you deny a minor pleasure,
Could you decide on only one answer?
Who gave you the authority?
Since when have I been given to you?
I am not one with myself,
Nor am I one with you.
You must know.
You must understand the terms.
Understand my heart,
My soul,
My body.
Take what is there.
Don't recreate.
Sandpaper the edges.
Make a smooth happening.
If you wish it be so,
Than make an effort to make it so.
With words of a heavy heart,
I love you.
I am content,
Not completely happy.
A puzzle with and incomplete piece,
That's how it is, isn't it?
What jigsaw will fit?

I started writing this around 19:30 October 10, 2018 in the boys dressing room of the theater department.
I had an emotion run through me. I know the feeling and I knew what it held. I wrote a mixed up jumble of my thoughts during the play run through. I finished the poem about 23:00. I'm not sure if it's really any good but I may send it to the person I wrote about.
