Marisol's POV- April 2018
"Is Chris home?" I asked Cody.
He glanced at me and shook his head.
"No, he's out with Desiree right now"
"You can come inside if you want" I told him.
"I don't want to intrude"
I smiled.
"You're not" I assured him.
He glanced at me before turning his attention to driving.
"Okay, I can stay for a bit. Just until Chris gets home"
"Of course" I answered.
Once his car was parked, we made our way inside.
"Your dad won't mind, right?"
"He's not home, and won't mind" I responded.
He took a deep breath and nodded.
"Okay"
I unlocked the door and stepped inside.
"Hurry before the alarm goes off," I said.
He stepped inside as well and closed the door as I went to reset the alarm.
"Do you want anything to drink?" I asked.
"I'm okay, can I use your bathroom though?"
I lead him to the bathroom, and as he did his business I went into the living room. Once I was seated, I sent Lucy a text telling her I was home. The doorbell rang just as Cody made his way into the living room.
"Just make yourself comfortable," I told Cody.
I handed him the remote control and went to answer the door. I disabled the alarm for a total of 20 seconds, to get Lucy inside.
"Hey, come on in" I greeted.
Lucy smiled.
"I was going to ask how your day was, but I noticed there's a nice Audi parked next to your car"
I rolled my eyes at her.
"So I take it Cody is here?"
"Yes," I confirmed.
"I'll be nice"
"It's all I ask for," I said.
"I brought you a cold brew"
"Thank you," I told her.
I took the coffee.
"Do you have class tomorrow?" I asked.
"Not until noon"
Lucky.
"I've got class at 10 AM" I answered.
I slept an hour more Monday nights because I got up at 8 AM.
"You get to sleep an hour more"
I nodded and followed her inside.
"What else did you bring?" I asked.
"My dinner, I do need a coaster though"
As we walked into the living room, Lucy spoke up.
"Well hello there, Cody"
He went to stand up, but she shook her head.
"You look comfy there, I'll go to you"
As I went to get a coaster they greeted each other. When I returned to the living room, Lucy was seated on the floor.
"The floor is much more comfortable, my back is killing me"
