Smeagol was leading the way, while showing us how to get to the Black Gate and into Mordor....

Soon enough we make our way into the  Marshes. It looks just like it did in the Movie. Except this time I'm actually THERE. It felt a little strange actually. But it's really exciting to not only meet my two favorite characters from my favorite movie, but to actually be going on an adventure with them!!!....or  at least for a little while. But I don't think that Frodo and Sam would abandon me.... (Hopefully.) I mean, I'm sure that I'm the least to worry about. Sam hasn't really kept an eye on me as much as he did on Smeagol.  "So is this the Marshes?" I end the silence between everyone.

Both me, Frodo and Sam, found ourselves being led into a swamp. Sam got his foot stuck for a moment in the swampy  water. GUAH! HE LED US INTO A SWAMP!” shouts Sam, clearly not happy.

“Hobbits must be very careful where they step.” Warns Gollum. Uh….not all of us here are Hobbits. But wait a second…

It was only now I realized that I was about the  same height as Frodo and Sam..but I shouldn't be, should I? Im among the race of men. But when I placed my hand across one of my ears, my eyes widen with a small gasp escaping from my lips.

“What is it?” Frodo turns to me. “N-Nothing. it’s nothing.” I turn my gaze away, suddenly finding the ground very interesting to look at. Frodo turns away from my gaze, believing that everything was alright and that nothing troublesome was amidst.

I was apparently a Hobbit. I had the ears of a Hobbit, and the feet of a Hobbit. I’ve been wearing slippers but I thought I felt something a bit too fluffy in there. And now I know why.

Something triggers my memory all in the sudden,  and I became unaware of my surroundings. I start to watch Frodo and Sam carefully. we weren't in just any swamp. we were in the Dead Marshes. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Sam shout. “T-Theres dead faces in the waters!”

“Yes, Elves, Men, and Orcs.” answered Smeagol. “There was once a battle here. but no Orks go to the Black Gate this way. not any more. Orks take a much longer way to the Black Gates.” Smeagol informed us. “This is the Dead Marshes.” added smeagol with a devious look.

Sam accidently steps his foot into a shallow part of the water hen he missed his step. “Careful, Hobbit’s! don’t go towards the lights….or you will end up like them.” Smeagol warns. I was now very cautious. But I wasn’t caustios for my safety, but for Frodo’s.

In the movie during this scene and current Arc, that was now being brought to life before my eyes, Frodo got too close to the waters when looking into one of the dead faces and fell in. I have to keep an eye on Frodo to make sure that doesn't happen. To prevent this scene from taking place.

I noticed Frodo slowly starting to trail behind us, and he began to walk towards the edge of the waters to get a look at one of the faces.

I immediately dart over,  grabbed his arm gently in a firm way. “Frodo!” I shout. he seemed to snap out of it and jerks his head over to meet my face. “What?” He says cluelessly.

“I don’t want you to fall in. come on.” I added as he followed me.  we caught up to Sam and Smeagol, and I saw Sam in his tracks before looking our way.

“Let’s’ keep going, Mr.Frodo.”

“Right, Sam.” Responded Frodo. But before long, Frodo returns his gaze towards mine.

“Thank you, Sally.”

“O-Oh, you're welcome.” I give him a smile, feeling a little speechless. If  I hadn't watched the Movie, things would have turned out differently if I couldn’t predict what could have happened. But would Smeagol had saved Frodo like he did when he fell in during the Movie? Or would something completely different have occurred?

Night has fallen and everyone was asleep. Frodo was laying on his side like me and Sam were. He was some feet or inches away and his back was turned from me.

I was snapped out of my thoughts however, when I heard Smeagol say something a bit loud. Frodo gets up slowly after. Frodo began to approach Smeagol. And the ring that was hanging around his neck, he tucked in to hide from Smeagol. He did after all, know how badly Smeagol wants it.

I didn’t catch their entire conversation, but I heard Frod say, “you weren't very different from a Hobbit once….Smeagol?”

“What did you call me?” Smeagol was astonished that I wasn't the only one who knew his name.

“Your name was Smeagol, a long time ago.”

Smeagol started to think for a little bit and then a smile grew on his face. “Smeagol!” smiled Smeagol, remembering his name from years ago when he was still a Hobbit. but suddenly we all got startled and sam woke up as we heard a loud screeching noise. it was a Black Rider. what’s worse, it was riding a dragon-like creature with a long outstretched neck. It's gaze meets mine.

“QUICK! HIDE!!!” yelped Smeagol. I jumped in a panic upon hearing Frodo let out a yell, as he fell onto the ground, clutching at the spot he was once stabbed at by another Black Rider.

Sam quickly helped Frodo to our hiding spot, underneath a large bush. The Black Rider was flying around the Dead Marshes, in search of the ring...and the Ring Bearer.

I watched over Frodo to make sure he wouldn't slide the ring down his finger. I quickly grabbed his hand, in a gentle and firm grip to keep him from sliding it on. That was a close call.

“...Sally.” gasped Frodo as he snapped out of it.

“It’ll be alright.” I tell him, hoping that Frodo would calm down, cause I knew currently, just like I was, he was scared.

But the Black Rider let out a screech before both the Black Rider and the flying creature flew away. we were all safe. and we were not found.
