As the day wore on, Frodo came back and soon laid his back against the same rock I laid against earlier, and he went straight to sleep. he hasn’t had much sleep lately. Smeagol seemed to be missing. hunting possibly? he didn’t like Sam and Frodo’s Lembas bread. I tried just one when they offered it to me. it wasn’t bad. it actually tasted pretty good. but I shouldn’t eat too much of it. after all, Frodo and Sam need the food more than I did.I’ve been mostly pacing. I’m normally not bored, but soon enough, I decided to sit myself down. I would stare at the ground and observe the random things that littered the dirt, Rocks, streams, and Grass. There wasn’t much to look at.
I would glance at Sam a few times before I would turn my gaze towards Frodo, who was sleeping peacefully. For some strange reason a thought entered into my head that he looked cute when sleeping. But suddenly, Smeagol came back, running towards Frodo with two Coneys. One he was holding, and the other he had in his mouth. The one he had in his mouth, he dropped in Frodo’s lap, which startled the poor Hobbit when he woke up in a start.
“Look what Smeagol went and caught!” Smeagol beams quite cheerful and proud of himself. Smeagol would jump around in glee, and Frodo went and smiled at Sam, who simply frowned. “It’s even crunchy!” added Smeagol who was breaking and cracking the bones of the Coney that was in his hands.
Frodo’s face turned into a disgusted look. Smeagol thus began to take a bite into the Coney, and ripped at it’s flesh with his sharp, dagger like teeth. It was a disgusting sight to witness, that was for certain. Sam hurried up to Frodo and grabbed the Coney from Smeagol. “MAKE HIM SICK, YOU WILL! There's only one way we could eat these!”
“NOOOO!!!” cried Smeagol. “you’ve ruined ites!” “What's to ruin? it’s only Coney soup.” replied Sam. “Along with some taters.”
“What’s taters, precious? what’s taters?” asked Smeagol quite nervously. “PO-TATOES!” answered Sam. I giggled quietly.
“Boil em, mash em, stick em in stew.” Smeagol kept groaning, so uninterested in the meal. I couldn’t help but keep giggling quietly, however. Sam continued to talk about what he was making though, in deep description.
“Lovely nice, golden chips with a nice piece of ripe fish…” Smeagol spits in disgust. “Even you couldn’t say no to that!” I giggled even more. But I noticed that Frodo wasn’t anywhere to be found. he was here not too long ago.
I started to head into the woods, looking for him. from behind I heard Smeagol starting to go on about liking food raw, which sounded disgusting, and somehow funny.
I was looking for Frodo and then I soon spotted him walking off somewhere. “Frodo?” I called. Frodo stopped in his tracks and turned around to only notice my presence. I begin to approach him. “Frodo, where were you goin--”
“Quiet.” Frodo hushes me. “Do you hear that?” I was quiet for a moment, listening. I began to hear something. It sounded like marching and stomping. I became as curious as Frodo was. Frodo motioned me to follow him and that’s what I did. Soon he motioned and whispered for me to get down, and I did. we started to crawl towards the outside and what we saw was an army that looked like the ones who were entering through The Black Gates and into Mordor. there was so many...there had to be hundreds or thousands!
Sam and Smeagol had heard the noise, found us, and knelt down besides us and watched. “It’s Sauron's army!” Whimpers Smeagol. “We have to go…” Frodo says as he begun to get up. but Sam quickly grabs Frodo’s arm. “Mr.Frodo, look!”
There were creatures that looked like tall Elephants, except their horns seemed different than normal Elephant horns, at least back in my home universe. “It’s the Mumakil!” says Sam. both Sam and Frodo must have heard of these creatures originally, and this must be their first time seeing them in person.
But suddenly some members of the army was being shot down by arrows, and the Mumakil stopped in their tracks. The army was being attacked! “We’ve been here for too long!” Frodo shouts to the group as he quickly stands up on his feet, and i we all started to follow after Frodo, but then he bumped into someone. The person pushes him back, and Frodo fell down onto his back. But he quickly stands back up. But then another stranger popped out and grabbed Frodo’s arms from behind him, and another yet another person appears out of nowhere and done the same to Me and Sam.
”Let them go!!” Shouts Sam. He drew out his sword and headed towards the man who held Frodo hostage. He somehow or another managed to get out of one of the men’s grip.
But before Sam could do anything else, a man pointed an arrow towards him. He was forced to lower down his sword. But these men were not men from Sauron's army.
A man came out who had his hood down. he looked familiar. but I had never seen the man in person, however. But only in the Movie....he
“Bind their hands and put a blindfold covering their eyes!” Demanded the man. our hands were bound and our eyes were blinded by blind foulds and now all I could see was darkness, but I felt myself being pushed, forcing my feet to walk.
was I still with Frodo and Sam? Where did Smeagol go? But then it came to me. I watched the Movie, so I should know. The man who has kidnapped us...is no other than Boromir's younger brother, Faramir.
