They followed him into the motel. Badger let his eyes wonder the small reception room. It had brick walls and a desk in the centre of the room, chairs lining around the bottom off the walls and plants set up in the corners.
"Mary," Jacob called, "We have two guests."
The receptionists, Mary, raised her head.
"Alright," She turned to the other two, "Would you like a single bed or separate."
Synex answered almost immediately.
"Separate!"
Mary nodded, handing Badger a key.
"Alright, room 586, enjoy" She went back to writing on a piece of paper.
Jacob sighed.
"Alright, the stores are just down the road." Then he left.
Badger and Synex sat on separate beds. Badger was reading a book whilst Synex was doing her nails.
Badger sighed, placing the book on his chest and looking over at Synex.
"...I suggest we go get some clothes and food." He suggested.
Synex looked up from what she was doing.
"Alright," She stood up, putting on her boots," Let's go."
Badger put on his boots and the two walked out of the motel.
They walked down the street, awkwardly, not knowing what to say to each other.
Badger decided to try and strike up a conversation.
"So... uhh." He started
Synex looked at him, her head tilted.
"Hm?"
Badger opened his mouth to say something before he heard...
"P-please, I'm sorry." The mysterious voice begged.
Badger and Synex looked at each other before deciding to go see what was the problem. They turned and looked into an alley way. Standing there was a 5'7 19-year-old girl holding a man up to the wall, her eyes full of fury.
"Sorry doesn't bring him back!" She punched him.Badger ran forward, stopping around two meters away from them.
"Hey," He shouted, "Stop that!"The girl turned to face him, she has long, blonde hair with beautiful blue eyes, but there was a huge scar going from her eyebrow, down the middle of her eye to her cheek.
The girl dropped the man, who tried to scramble away. The girl turned her attention to the man, kicking him in the ribs.
The man hit the wall, groaning in pain.
The girl growled, shifting into a huge pear dragon, roaring.
Badger looked at the dragon as it clawed at the man.
Those scales...they look familiar. He thought.
The man laid there, bloodied and unconscious.
The girl shifted back, turning her attention to Badger and Synex.
"What do you want." She growled.
Badger stared into her eyes.
Only one person has eyes that blue. He thought.
The girl began getting impatient.
"Well!" She spat.
Badger looked at her.
"R-Raina?" he whispered.
