Ch.1 Under the Oak tree

Opening my eyes just to go through the same boring day, the window to my left is open, allowing the warm sun to shine on my face

"huh~ the nurse left it open again ?" I mumbled annoyed, the room was empty...it's not like I expected anyone to be here ! No one cares.

"Ah ! You're awake...breakfast ?" Nurse Sally walked in ,she always came in with the same smile that I despised so much ...it was just so fake !

I heard her talk shit behind my back, they all did! they always thought I'm not listening just because I had my headphones on when in fact I had nothing playing ...I was just using them to get people off my back

"not hungry" I quietly mumbled as she walked in with the metal tray in hand

"well you should eat something! You can't relay on the medicines anymore" she crossed her arms with a pout

"and you might be discharged tomorrow ! You never know !" she added placing the tray on my lap, just looking at this made me want to puke !

What the hell do they feed us ! Do they think we're pigs ?

"Be sure to finish it" she walks out of my room "disgusting!" My brows twitched when I took a spoonful of the soup

I forced myself to a couple more bites from the meatloaf until I couldn't take it !

Placing the tray on the table next to my bed.

"maybe I should go for a walk!" dragging my feet down the white halls out to the open fields

"Y/N !! You should at least wear your slippers!!" Another nurse sighed, ah ! I totally forgot about them !! I smiled slightly "sorry about that"

She just sighed softly "wait here ! I'll get them for you" she walked away,like hell I'd wait !

She'll catch up to me later, it's not like I can run away or anything.

The gentle breeze felt nice on my cold skin, I swear they can place corpse around here and they won't rot due to the low temperatures.

I walked to go and sit at my favorite spot, just under the big oak tree "shit someone took my spot!" I stopped behind them glaring daggers

"excuse me !! Do you mind ?" I mumbled, I know rude ! But whatever...

"huh ? Oh sorry !" They mumbled while turning around, I froze for a second, those light blue eyes shined under the sunlight as it reflected a little greenish tint while their soft raven colored hair swayed softly with the breeze, their eyes widened looking at me as they got up

"sorry, but...you're in my place" I mumbled as a slight blush found my cheeks

"s-sure..." they lingered next to me as I sat down on the green grass "you come here often ?" They asked smiling

"I'm a patient here" I smiled back, you can obviously tell by the way I'm dressed, are they that desperate to make a conversation ?

"oh...sorry, why are you here ? You look fine ?" They decided to sit next to me

"I don't really think telling you my life story would be a reasonable thing to do" I laughed ,I'm not a kid ! I'm very sure I was taught not to talk to strangers.

"That makes sense" they laughed softly "I'm here because of my brother" they added watching the view

the waves gently moved , the salty scent of the water filling my lungs...

"He's okay ?" I asked glancing at them

"he just broke his arm that's all, nothing major" they giggled
