Ch.3 the house's dark halls

"I was staying up late one day when dad came back home drunk as hell ,i heard the faint yells mom and dad usually exchanged ,I thought it was their usual fights so I wore my headphones and blasted the music on high ignoring their loud yells

after a while I got out to check on them and I found mom towering the dead body of dad, he just laid there motionless in a puddle of his own blood and alcohol, he was a major pain in the ass alcoholic.

I asked mom what the hell is she doing and she answered by saying this....

"because I love him, I'm putting him at ease !"

I recalled that forsaken night telling them my story ,I don't know why but I felt like Alex was easy to talk to

"and after that ?" They asked worried

"when I yelled she said she'll put me at ease too and came at me with the kitchen knife ,she plunged it into my shoulder but I managed to push her off...

I tried getting up on my feet as blood oozed from around the blade in my shoulder...she came running at me so I pulled the knife and dug it deep into her chest...I didn't have another choice" I lowered my head in shame

A warm hand rested on my back comforting me, they didn't say a word, just gave a gentle smile...

The long silent between us went on for a few minutes until my stomach growled loud "shit" I whispered under my breath

"hey ! I have extras if you want ?" They opened their lunch box that was filled to the brim with different colored food, I won't lie it did look tempting

"no it's fine, I'll buy some food later" I nervously laugh as they pushed the box into my chest

"come on ! Just a few bites okay ?" Their bright smile made me fluster looking deep into their soft blue eyes

"T-Thanks" I smiled softly

"here ! Open up" the metal spoon came close to my lips ..EH !! Wait this is ...I can't eat like this, this is too embarrassing!

My eyes widened looking at the spoon in their hand

"is it too hot ? I did reheat it a little" the spoon moved into their mouth "it's not too hot !" They smiled softly swallowing the food...Now this will be an indirect kiss ! My heart can't take it !

"Here" They filled the spoon and brought it up to my lips, my face was the color of a tomato as my lips parted taking in the food...wait !

This taste really amazing

"it's yummy" I smiled brightly, after eating nothing but soups and meatloafs for weeks this is heaven

"really ? Thank goodness, if you want I have a lot of leftovers at home, I can bring you some tomorrow!" They mumbled with a blush on their face and I nodded excitedly.

Even though we shared the lunch box I got kinda full, They smiled as I lay down on my back stretching my body after that meal

"what ?" I asked when their gaze lingered ,I didn't mind being stared at I'm used to it...and not in a good way..but their gaze I didn't mind at all, in fact it made me happy

"nothing" Alex shook their head

"do you have lunch on the roof every day?" I asked ,I'm usually eating here alone and I never saw them around

"I just saw someone I was trying to stay away from...and I thought coming up here would be the best place to avoid them" they tugged their raven hair behind their ear "...what do you have after school?" They added changing the subject, and I was about to ask more questions
