I'd been in that cell for a total of what felt like a week. I wanted to make sure though. "How long have I been here?"
Ashton was surprised by the sudden change in subject, but he answered me nonetheless. "About four days."
"Oh. It feels like a week ago I came here. I'm started to get a little rambunctious."
"We can take a walk, if that would help."
"You're gonna allow that?"
"I don't see why that's a bad idea."
"Ok..." I said suspiciously. It was then I had a flashback the young shadow witch, Layma. She wanted to take me to the kingdom I would rule, my destiny being the Heir of Darkness and all, which was more known as in other witch kingdoms as shadow clan territory. No other clan dared to venture into the lands of shadow witches, mainly because anyone other than a shadow witch would instantly be killed. I had to turn Layma away, I told her about my mission, and she said that she would come back for me on the next new moon. I suspected that would be in about a week or so from then. I was thinking about that while Ashton put my left wrist in a slightly blue looking stone bracelet.
"What's this for? And what is it?" I asked.
"It is what lines your cell to cancel out your abilities." That was all he said.
"How does it work?"
"I'm not completely sure. Anyway, come with me." He led me to the cell door and out of my cell. When walked along the rows of cells containing other black bloods. I hated what he was doing to them, but at least they wouldn't be in there for much longer. I hoped.
We walked back up the stairs I remembered going down when I first got there, back up to the warehouse. Only something was different this time. I didn't know what at the time, but I had the feeling I was about to find out.
We walked a little farther, and I was surprised to find that we were walking towards the exit of the building.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"You'll find out."
We went through the exit, and towards a black pickup truck. I wasn't at all surprised by what Ashton did did next. He blindfolded me.
"Just taking precautions." He said.
We drove for what felt like half an hour, and we finally stopped at a restaurant. We went into the building, and I saw someone I knew. Alex was there, and I realized I was most likely still in London. Ashton saw him, so he directed me to the bathroom, and told me to change my appearance. Then, he did something unexpected. He took off the bracelet. I went into the bathroom, but someone was in there. Megan was there, and we just stared at each other for a few seconds, then she ran over and hugged me tightly.
"I guess I'm still in London, then." I said.
"Yeah. Wait, if you're here, is Ashton...?"
"No, I haven't gotten the chance yet. He's here with me."
"He let you out of wherever you were?"
"Surprisingly, yes. He did."
"So, were you going to do something in here?"
"Yeah, Ashton saw Alex, so he told me to change my appearance."
"Oh, ok. I guess I'll leave you to it, then."
"Just wait in here for a few minutes after I leave, just so Ashton doesn't suspect we were talking."
"Alright."
