I dumped my bags on the pristine apartment floor and thanked the lady who helped me by dropping a tip in her cart. "Oh thank you Miss. Y/L/N" she smiled in which I returned the kindly gesture before she walked out and I took my luggage into the familiar bedroom.
I owned another smaller apartment in New York since I was here quite often for my job. I sighed as I walked into the spotless kitchen before propping myself on the marble counter and gazing at the view of the many buildings in the busy city scene I was used to.
It was something about the hustle and bustle noises I'd grown to find comforting after moving closer to the city when we sold the house 4 years ago.
I hopped off the counter and made myself a cup of tea before walking back into the bedroom to fetch my planner, "okay ppshhh" I muttered as I ran my finger down to today's current date "grocery shopping today, then another shoot with seventeen, then tomorrow film 'morning get ready with me' with ELLE and finally the Met Gala"
I closed the little book and set on my bedside table before grabbing my phone, tote bag and grocery list before walking to the elevator.
As many times as Eli tells me to just pay someone to do everything for me and 'tAke pRiVileGe of My faMe' I couldn't bear the thought of seeing someone as my "servant" so instead I do all the little everyday jobs and chores myself.

The glass doors slid open to reveal all the isles of food stacked to the ceiling and I picked up a green basket before making my way to the fruit part of the small supermarket.
I checked off all the items as I strolled through the store until I only had an hour until I need to be at the photoshoot for seventeen, "shampoo and then we are ... done" I mumbled into the little notepad as I ticked off the last item on the list.
"Y/N?" I heard a females voice from behind me and I sighed before pasting on a fake smile preparing to see a fan holding a permanent marker and something for me to sign.
"hey there! how are y- Sophia?" the redheaded girl stood a few metres from me with her eyes wide and mouth hanging open "Uh HI!" she sounded shocked as he pitch in her voice rose slightly before she ran forward and plowed into me with a hug,
my arms wrapped around her small waist as the girl who stood a few inches shorter sighed and relaxed into my body.
"I haven't seen you in like years!" she breathed before pulling back and holding me at arms length, "you-I'm, where have you been, are doing okay, you are so much taller and more stunning than ever" questions poured out of Sophia's mouth as she stood flustered in front of me
"I'm fine soph, and there's no need to flatter me" I giggled pushing a strand of hair behind my ear "look I've got this photo shoot really soon but we should get lunch sometime, I'm in New York for a couple days after the Gala so text me" I explained as I took her phone and added my new number,
"oh I'll be at the Gala too so I might see you there" the redhead said and we exchanged another hug before I walked up to the check out and she disappeared into another isle.
