Many monsters were angry with the demigods after they lost the war with Gaia which caused many Monster attacks. They would come in groups and in random moments. Sometimes the nymphs and dryads would get mixed up in the fighting. Juniper was one of these creatures who unfortunately experienced this. She was in the woods next to her tree with Grover and their baby satyrs. A sharp axe cut through her tree and her dryad body. She out screamed in pain as blood started to pour out of the long lash through her stomach. Juniper collapsed onto the ground along with her tree, "Grover...protect our children."Grover yelled out, "No! NO! JUNIPER!" But it was too late, nothing could be done. He grabbed all four of the little satyrs and ran. "Daddy! Daddy...what happened to mommy?" The eldest called out. Grover didn't answer, he kept running, screaming out for help. Percy was the first to hear and see him. As soon as Percy looked into the eyes of his best friend, he knew what had happened and in that moment he swore to get revenge. He uncapped the Riptide and charged at the monster following Grover.
