I was frozen. Not like the ice thing, but you know how its easier to talk to people you're sure you'll never see for the most part?

Yeah, it was easy on talking to them, not really sure how I didn't get real excited when seeing them. They were Hunk and Lance!

It was mostly spite and anger that got me through the other school, and the familiarity. But this? I didn't make it past 15! this was entirely new, everyone seemed so old.  This wasn't new to me really though, in the last life I only got anxiety when I was set in a new space when I actually cared, really payed attention.

I wondered if I was supposed to be anybodies grandpa in this world....what if I was technically Pidge's grandpa...oh gods.

But right now? if anyone looked at me I was going to jump off a moving bridge.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sat myself in the back of the classroom, avoiding the window seat at all costs.

Some tall kid, well. Kid. Based on this class, Came over and everything seemed to go in slow motion.

"Please do dont dont do dont dont" I muttered under my breath, I didn't want to have to be introduced to someone that could be annoying. Or worse, outgoing and friendly.

He squinted at me before tapping my desk, I looked up.

I didn't really pay attention to him talking, he looked an awful lot like someone I remembered.

It was all shaggy uneven light brown hair and brown eyes with a permanent analytical look, like he was constantly calculating my death day.

I was...eased.. out of my thoughts with snapping of his fingers,"Hey kid!"

I looked up squinting back,"What?" I asked. I didn't want any enemies but I didn't exactly want to be looking at someone who looked exactly like my uh, old boyfriend.

He looked annoyed now.

"Can you switch seats with me?" he said pointing his finger back at the window seat and then next to me where I assumed his friends were seated.

I shook my head no, and he raised an eyebrow,"Why not?"

I cleared my throat and stated as serious as I could, "That seats a jinx man! it's where main characters go to die!"

He looked bewildered before deadpanning and responding in a very dry voice,"I think you spent all your other seven years of bad luck watching anime haven't you?"

Caught red handed. Or red faced.

I blushed deeply, and just stared at him for a while neither of us willing to break eye contact first.

"What're you looking at?" He snarked, he seemed to be very stubborn to sit here.

But so was I.

"You." I said pointedly right back, he looked a little taken back at the forwardness.

He just glared as the bell rang, which quite literally probably saved me from a punch to the face as he sat in his other seat.

I could feel his other friends glaring too, some of them seemed to be snickering though.

I wasn't going to win any student voted awards, just like old times.

---------------------------------------------------

A lot of class was spent with each of us edging each other on, in a rather aggressive passive tone. What was confusing was how it got so playful after a while.  Attach a name to the asshole.

When he raised his hand up and so did I.

We were doing a game review on stuff they apparently learned last year, I really didn't know much of the answers, I just wanted to beat him.

"I know it!" he yelled.

I looked at him, and the girl that had the ball for her turn to talk in her hand and raised mine and leaned over to her not bothering to cover up what I said.

"I know it  too! more than him! you give me that ball and we both get candy you know what i'm saying?" I said, it came out louder than intended, with a few here and there pointing and snickering.

She ended up throwing it to him. And he got it alright.

The teacher came over and placed his hand forcefully on my desk, after that throw I stopped paying attention, it gave me a start and I jumped up with the other kids laughing at me.

"Gunderson. A is the father of B, but B is not the father of A. Can you answer that for me?" he said like he was keeping the tone of explaining it to a baby out of it to keep it professional.

Right I forgot, we had to have new different names so they didn't catch us. They were either ignoring it or were pretty stupid to see two new students, brothers, enter the same time a pair of twins went missing.

I think Pidge came up with it when he saw a guy holding a gun, i'm not really sure. I do know that I picked the name Noah by myself, it might've been because I was drowning myself in sweat without a Boat , on that I do not remember.

"Mailman." I stated proudly and clearly happy to know an answer.

His lips turned into a very thin line and the class bursted out laughing, I looked around quickly almost snapping my neck to see what I did wrong.

He sighed and handed me a very familiar pink slip.

----------------------------------

As I was walking out I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was the guy.

"Yeah?" I asked impatient wanting to get to Pidge as fast I could.

He held out his hand reluctantly and looked away while saying it,"Dave."

I looked at him shocked before slowly putting mine to his, internally planning to wash them later.

"Noah." I said unsurely before grinning,"Dave huh? aren't only adults named that? you came out of the womb being grown?"

He just scoffed and jerked his hand back before walking away immediately I whined at it and he turned back.

I swore I saw a small smile, before he walked off again. And I was steered into detention.
