Bio Botan is a very distant cousin who is unaffected by the curse. A great great grandmother of hers had it and she married someone who wasn't a Sohma. Every child did so by the time Botan was born she was unaffected by the curse but could still touch members of her family that did have it. She grew up in the Sohma district but was outcasted due to her Zodiac sign. This caused her to only spend time with her mother who was only a Cat. Other than this she had a normal childhood.
