Before I start this chapter, thank you all so much for reading. I'm so happy everyone actually enjoys this. I'm not gonna drag on, but I love you all!
** Allison's pov **
I ring the doorbell and look at my blue painted nails. I'm getting nervous, I need to stop. Just calm down, they-
I get my thoughts interrupted when the door starts to open.
Drew is smiling, his hair is neat, his glasses are adorable as always. He's wearing a collared shirt and black jeans. God, he is beautiful. Once again, I wonder how I got so lucky to be with him.
"Ah! Allison welcome." Mrs. Phillips comes from behind Drew.
"You're right on time, come join us at the table." She takes my hand and shows me to the table.
I can't help it, but I'm really nervous. Why am I so nervous? I'm scared I wont be good enough to be their sons girlfriend.
She sits me down on one of the sides of the table, and Drew sits next to me. He takes my hand under the table and gives it a light squeeze. As people start coming to the table, he leans towards me.
"They'll love you just as much as I do. Don't worry." He whispers.
I give him a nod and I'm grateful he hasn't let go of my hand.
"Hey Allison." Madeline, Drew's sister greets me with a smile.
"Hey." I say back.
We were never that close, but I wanted to be at one time. She's so pretty and funny like Drew, but we were just neighbors. But, now I'm dating her brother so that could change. I'm lucky I've got Dakota though.
"So Allison. This is Jarrod, Andrea, and Madeline." She points towards everyone.
"Hi." I say, and it comes out more nervous than I expected.
I look at Drew with wide eyes and he just smiles and squeezes my hand again.
"No need to be nervous Allison. As a girlfriend of one of the Phillips boys, the family is very accepting." Andrea tells me.
So they all know I'm nervous, alright that's just awesome.
Everyone starts to pass the food around and I feel awkward. No one's said anything yet.
"Drew would you like to say Grace?" Mrs. Phillips asks.
"No that's too much pressure." He shuts her down and I try my hardest not to laugh.
"I'll do it." Madeline speaks up.
She says Grace and then everyone starts eating.
"So Allison, do you have any hobbies?" Mrs. Phillips asks me.
I hate that question, I never know what to say.
"I don't know if it's a hobby, but I run cross country and track." I answer.
If that's the wrong answer, I'm flinging myself out the window.
"How do you do that? I hate running." Madeline says.
"Not sure myself." I smile.
Everyone else smiles and I relax a bit.
"So when did you two start talking?" Andrea asks us.
Drew and I look at each other.
"History class." Drew says for me.
"You little nerds, that's adorable." Andrea laughs.
Okay so if she called us adorable, maybe she likes me.
"Do you like history?" Jarrod asks me.
"She's the biggest nerd in history." Drew tells Jarrod.
"Oh yeah? Lets test the theory." Jarrod looks at me.
Okay, I can do this shit in class, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for it here.
"Jarrod don't, that's too much pressure." Andrea scolds him.
"When was the holocaust?" Jarrod waves Andrea off.
I look up to the ceiling and think for a moment. When was the holocaust.
"You don't have to answer, Jarrod's a bitch." Drew tells me.
I look down and answer him. "The holocaust happened between January 30th 1933, to May 8th 1945."
"How did you know that?" Jarrod asks me.
"Well I don't know everything about history, only the things that interest me. You just happen to ask me about something like that." I don't want them to think I'm a cocky genius. I just got lucky.
"When was the Opium war?" He asks me again.
Are you kidding me? "Yeah I don't know that one." I laugh.
"Jarrod, fuck off." Drew almost yells.
"Sorry that was just interesting." He laughs.
"Drew don't swear at the table." Mrs. Phillips pleads.
"Sorry." He mumbles.
I finish answering all the basic questions and everyone starts to leave the table, saying goodbye to me.
"It was so nice meeting you properly. We're going to be great friends." Madeline hugs me.
Wow, I wasn't expecting that.
"You're such a sweet girl, I'm glad Drew has you. I can't wait to see you more often." Andrea smiles and hugs me.
"Thank you." I laugh and hug her back.
Mrs and Mr. Phillips both hug me.
"It was so nice to have you over." Mr. Phillips nods and smiles in agreement to what she says.
"Thank you both so much for dinner." I smile.
"It was our pleasure." Mr. Phillips says.
Drew comes up from behind me and grabs my hand.
"I'll walk you out." He tells me, but sort of announces so everyone knows to give us a moment.
We go out the door and stand on his porch.
"They love you. They always have, but they do even more now." Drew says.
Drew puts his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck.
"I love you." I hug him.
"I love you more." He laughs, and pulls out of the hug to kiss me.
"I'll see you tomorrow." He hugs me again.
I nod and start to walk towards my house.
Drew goes inside and I hear everyone yell, "Aw! Baby Drew has a soft side."
So they heard us. I laugh and go inside my house.
"How was it sweetie?" My mom asks me while I take my shoes off.
"Success." I tell her.
