Somewhere isolated in Soul Society, there was a candle-lit cave where water dripped from the stalactites onto the ground. There was a large pond of water in the center, and by the side was were several spirits gathered as they waited for someone. Someone that was deemed as their leader, the one who had saved them and brought them together. However, though they were ordered to wait for him, one of them was getting impatient.

"Hey!" she whined while sitting on a rock and swinging her legs out of boredom. She then jumped down to stretch herself before continuing, "How long do we have to stay here? I'm so bored! I'm going outside." The spirit's name was Haineko. She was a curvaceous woman with turquoise eyes, olive-colored skin, and chin-length maroon hair styled into two cat-like ears at the top, with several long bangs framing her face. She had pink fur covering her forearms, pelvis, feet, left leg, and most of her upper torso. She had a tuft of white fur covering her neck and extending down to the middle of her chest, and as well as a ring of white fur around her right thigh. She also had a long pink tail, and claw-like nails.

"Please don't." advised another spirit as she took a step forward. "We're still missing a few people." Sode no Shirayuki was a pale-skinned young woman with icy blue eyes. She had long pale lavender hair that was partially tied up in the back in a long bun with the remaining hair fell behind her shoulders while a strand fell between her eyes. Her hair was parted on the left side of her head by a blue star-shaped hair clip. She was wearing a white kimono with large sleeves and a long hem, and had a pale yellow-green obi wrapped around her waist that was attached to a large pale purple bow on her back.

"A few, huh?" responded Haineko "How many people are coming, anyway?"

"Well, I don't know." replied Sode no Shirayuki.

At that moment, a male spirit known as Kazeshini laughed cynically. He had the appearance of a thin, well-toned dark man with completely light blue eyes and long black hair reaching down to his lower back. He wore dark gray strips of cloth around his neck and shoulders, wrists, and lower body, followed by a pair of grey boots with curled toes. His body had a red outline which occasionally flickers, and his canine teeth were noticeably pronounced.

"Who cares how many come?" he proclaimed. "I can handle this on my own."

"Shaddap!" scolded Hozukimaru, who had just woken up from his nap. "There's no rush." He was a large muscular man with brown skin. He had long orange hair that reached down to his legs and styled into three large spikes around his face, and an orange beard which reached to his pectorals. He also had tufts of orange hair on his wrists. He wore a white robe around his waist and had no shoes. He had a large, black dragon-shaped marking which stretched horizontally across his upper chest that had dark brown eyes with light red markings underneath them.

A small pink-eyed spirit was flying around the others and after flying past him, she stopped in mid-air and placed her left hand on her waist. "Seriously!" she agreed. "Ladies don't like men who rush things." Suzumebachi had long brown hair tied into two long pigtails at the back. Her outfit consisted of a white fur collar around her neck, puffy shorts and leggings with alternating yellow-black stripes on them, and black shoes. She had a small yellow-black plate covering each breast, and short, puffy yellow-black striped sleeves covering each shoulder. Her entire right arm was covered by a yellow-black stinger longer than her own body. Another noticeable feature on her was the faint yellow glow she emitted.

Just then, they heard the door open before closing after a few seconds, followed by the sound of footsteps walking down the staircase. "Welcome back." greeted Tobiume when she saw who it was. She was a young petite girl with brown eyes. She had long brown hair, which was tied with cylindrical clips into two long bangs at the front, and had a third clip that composed of three yellow-pink circles and a yellow tree-like attachment above the left bang. She wore a white kimono with a pink hem, which was tied to her waist with a long piece of yellow fabric, above a long light purple skirt. She had a long pink ribbon with a large bell attached to each end loosely wrapped around her upper body, and wore a pair of brown sandals over white socks.
