Asa and Tadashi looked up, seeing Erzengel now in mid air with his Quincy: Vollständig activated. His white Sternritter uniform was now replaced with a white form fitting white body suit, with a long sleeve on his left arm and a short sleeve on the right. He had a white drape attached to his hip that had a golden edge embedded at the tips of the hem. He adorned himself with a golden chest plate, silver shoulder guards, and a golden arm guard. His military boots were now replaced with golden greaves and sabatons. Erzengel's Quincy: Vollständig was completed with a pair of wings flapping as he kept himself floating in mid air.

"Truthfully, I didn't expect you to deflect my Five Suns of Devastation." commented the Quincy. "Now let's see if you can deflect my Holy Light. I'd be worried if I was one of your friends." At that note, his wings flapped once more and he took off to the sky, spreading his wings as he prepared to cast another attack.

Asa was confused at first, but her eyes suddenly widened with horror before she turned to her partner. "Tadashi, I need you to cast Shinju no Saimon around the three of us!" she ordered urgently. "I'll explain later!" The said man needn't ask, saying out the incantation of the Kidou barrier. A dozen pillars were arranged to form a door-like barrier across them, then another barrier appeared on the right taking the shape of a watermill. On the left side, another barrier was created with a combination of many small hexagons to form a structure resembling a honeycomb. Above them, an obelisk and many planks appeared and combined to form a lampshade, resembling folding wings. The four barriers then finally came together, taking the shape of a rectangular barrier around the three of them.

Once the barrier was completed, Asa lifted her Zanpakutou up high and wedged it into the ground. She gripped the hilt and got onto her knees. "Encase and rebound as you bestow upon us!" Purple miasma emerged from the ground around the two Shinigami, taking the form of a pair of giant hands clasping each other, just in time for the entire area within the barrier to lit up with blinding lights.

"What's going on, Asa-nee?" asked Tadashi, staring at the purple barrier with awe and confusion as they were temporarily separated from the outside world. "What did he do?"

"This is what he called as the Holy Light." she explained, getting up on her feet as she left her Zanpakutou as it was. "It's a powerful illusion that traps everyone near Erzengel. When he is up high in the sky and spreads both his wings to resemble a cross, he's able to cast the illusion very quickly. If we are caught, we'd be stuck in a dreamlike illusion that would last long enough for him to kill us."

"Why didn't we just attack him before he did what you said?" he suggested.

"Tadashi, do you remember what he did to your Hyapporankan?" she questioned back. "Not only did he destroy all of them, he even managed to counter all of our Kidou with just his Reishi. He was even able to heal himself very quickly when I stabbed him with my Zanpakutou even though he's in his Shikai form when he's supposed to be trapped in one of Danchou's illusions. So even if we try to stop him, he would still be able to cast the illusion."

Tadashi sat on the ground and sighed. "You're right." he said before raising a brow at her. "How do you know all this?"

"While I was with the Zero Division, I was looking up for some sort of information on the Sternritter, particularly the Schutzstaffel because of their powers compared to the others. Erzengel was one of them. Just like his name, his abilities are similar to what humans would call as an Archangel, which mainly involves spiritual creation and order."

"That probably explains why he could create any attack with only his Reishi, and cast this illusion." concluded Tadashi. "But wouldn't his illusion affect everyone else? Or is that why you asked me to cast Shinju no Saimon?"
