kirishima eijirou
if you love me let me go
warning: angst

The sun above began to set, a calming feeling setting into Kirishima's chest. He sighed in relief, the stress slowly pouring off of his shoulders. He stretched, spreading his fingers apart, cracking the small bones with a few pushes and pulls. The restoring feeling made him smile, a gentle expression soothing his face.
"You ready to go?" (Y/n) stepped outside, slipping on her hero gloves. The heavy material made her grimace as she already began to feel sweat build up in the small space, but she began to feel comfortable after a minute of adjusting.
Kirishima beamed down at (Y/n), pressing a small kiss to her forehead. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be!"
Heroes Red Riot and (Hero/name) were finally traveling out of town, but not far from their origin. Yokohama happened to be a place with a high crime rate, so after a few adjustments and convincing, the two had gotten permission to leave for an extra pay raise.
With a small wave to their home, the two gathered together into a small car, saying a small greeting to the paid driver.
And with a few shared words, the two were off.
But an off, paranoid feeling attacked (Y/n) like knives. She sighed, stress building up in her small kept mind. She didn't like to focus on the bad parts of her job, or think of the possible negative outcomes. But unfortunately, those thoughts never left her head when she was on a mission. From the beginning, she'd known what was on the line and what was needed to pursue this dream. But she never thought she'd be working with the man she loved the most, and was even more happy to hear that he'd shared the same feelings.
But that one thought of either of them losing their lives sent her into a hysteric minefield of emotions.
The soft boy beside her noticed the muscles on her arm tensing, and he knew she'd been worried. The small beads of sweat dripping down her face made it even more evident, and he chuckled softly. Some things never change.
"Babe?" Kirishima muttered, placing his hand onto her shoulder. Her body jolted a tad, his hand falling down towards her shoulder blade.
"Y-Yes?" The stuttering. Kirishima disliked when she stuttered, even she'd admitted then when she did this, it meant she was anxious or uncomfortable. As anyone would be in this situation. Saving lives while putting yours at risk wasn't something to accommodate to so easily.
Kirishima gave a small, reassuring smile, a pink dust spreading across his cheeks. "It'll all be okay. You don't have anything to worry about. After all,
we are the number one team!"
(Y/n) stared for a moment, admiring her lover. She couldn't comprehend how he made her feel, the almost euphoric feeling was so pleasing and she loved feeling it each day.
Soon enough, the smile he'd given was returned, and she nodded. "Yes, of course."

How did it end this way?
The two had stepped out of their car, only to immediately be ambushed by a group of hoodlums and villains. The large variety of evil made (Y/n) shiver, but Kirishima felt the opposite. The immediate rush of adrenaline made his mind run wild, and he rushed to stop the tyranny that occured.
(Y/n) soon removed herself from her paralyzed state, leaping from building to building, causing the villains confusion. What they didn't see was an invisible piano string wrapping around their bodies, almost constricting the group completely.
She finished soon after, stepping down onto broken concrete. "If you move an inch, your body will either be sliced in half, or you'll lose a limb." She announced, balancing childishly on the concrete, almost like a game of hopscotch.
Meanwhile, Kirishima struggled in the south side. He battled the ring leader, who happened to have a very evolved quirk. It was obvious that quirk enhancement serums had been used, no one would be able to manipulate the ground such as this without proper training. And it was quite obvious by the way the villain had reacted that he hadn't had anything close to that.
What he didn't notice was a large concrete pillar being formed behind him, a sharp edge aligning with his chest. His entire body slowly formed into an unbreakable stance.
"RED RIOT UNBREAKABLE!" He shouted, a victory glare shining in his beautiful eyes. But before he could celebrate, the large pillar began to discharge towards Kirishima. He stood in position, not moving an inch as he waited for the opponent to attack. No sound was audible, although a few rocks had fallen from the pillar. But the small drops onto concrete hadn't alarmed him in the slightest, and he smiled.
"Do you give up-"
"WATCH OUT!"
(Y/n)'s body suddenly crashed into Kirishima's, effectively pushing him out of the way. Instead of Kirishima, the pillar stabbed directly into (Y/n)'s chest, creating a crater-like hole.
She knew something was wrong, but she'd never figured that this would be the day that she died.
The bloodied pillar began to pry away from her chest, slowly launched onto the other side of the area.
Kirishima being the one who threw the large structure, a large amount of power suddenly surging through his body.
But that feeling soon faded as he stared at the horrific image in front of him. It was almost as if the occipital lobe in his brain had stopped cooperating, similar to not being able to process what was seen in front of him.
But the gory imagery gave him an idea that (Y/n) wasn't going to make it.
His feet carried him quickly, crouching down beside her fallen body. The large chunk that was taken out of her chest made Kirishima sick to his stomach, and tears flooded down his cheeks.
"W-Wait... You can't leave me!" Kirishima cried out, gripping her shoulders tightly. Her empty eyes showed no signs of life, causing the red haired boy to cry harder. He couldn't even imagine what (Y/n) was thinking before they'd arrive, the reason she was anxious.
Her body predicted this.
"Don't go! Please don't go! We haven't had children yet! We haven't gotten married! We haven't done so many things (Y/n), you can't leave me!" Kirishima sobbed loudly, pounding onto the hard dirt floor. A mix of anger and sadness created such a heavy, unbearable feeling. He watched his lover die in front of him, and wasn't able to do anything about it.
"Please come back! Everyone is gonna be so sad if you leave us! I can't live without you!" Those words spilled out like a candy machine being smashed open. The depressing undertone held a gloom over the entire city.
Soon enough, word had gotten out that a tragic passing had occured.
The passing of (Hero/name): killed while attempting to save her boyfriend.
And, 5 months later, the passing of Red Riot: self-inflicted injury, sadly fatal.
If you love me, let me go.
