Chapter 13

The next day went smoothly. I wasn't late to class, and no one bothered me. For the most part, I was on my own. I'm currently on my way to drama club. Today Miss Jen said we would be getting the art class to come and help us with set up, as well as costumes. I opened the door to a few people milling around, waiting for Miss Jen to show.

After a few minutes, she finally did. "Alright guys, come on in." The art club walked in behind her, looking like a bunch of geeks with a few normal people mixed in. "Drama club, this is art club." We stared at each other.

"Okay, to start, half of the people will be looking at costume books and the other half will be discussing how exactly we're going to get the scenery." She clapped her hands.

I moved into the half that was supposed to work on costumes, because let's face it, it's going to be more fun.

After a few minutes, a couple people came up to me and we started discussing dresses. I wanted a white one for the Hannibal play, just like the movie, but some people disagreed with me. They wanted something that actually fit the play Hannibal, like warrior clothes or something. Since it's going to be my dress I wanted to decide what I'm wearing.

"If I'm wearing it, I want it to be something I actually like," I said defensively. "I want a white dress, just like Christine had in the 2004 movie."

My persistence finally paid off. They finally agreed! Now we just have to figure out how exactly we're going to get the dress. I don't have enough money to pay on my own.

"I think we should hold one of those fundraising things," I said, trying not to look too stupid. "Maybe you guys could paint little cards and sell them and we could put on a few practice plays for a dollar or something."

A girl I didn't like shook her head. "That would cost too much. How about a car wash?" I stared at her with a look of, 'Are you a moron?' But other people agreed with her, just because they want the guys to notice them. Well I'm going to spray them with the hose to get their makeup off and then let's see how much attention they get.

One of the hot guys walked over near me. "Are you going to wear a bikini?" He wiggled his eyebrows with a smirk. I slapped his arm.

"No, in fact, I'm not." He held his hands out and laughed.

"I was kidding, jeez. No need to freak, pinky." I rose an eyebrow at him. "Your lips are really pink."

I blushed a little bit. Why am I getting so much attention from all the guys? No one even remotely liked me in high school. So, why now?

"You're a really good singer," he continued. "I can't wait to sing to you."

I rose an eyebrow, "Are you Eric? Or Raoul?" He grinned at me.

"I'm Raoul. So pucker up, hun." With that, he walked away. Huh. I didn't even get his name.

While the girls discussed the date and time for the car wash, I watched the two hot guys talking to each other. The one that just spoke to me has light brown hair and hazel eyes. The other one has deep black hair and green eyes. The one playing Eric looks a lot better actually. I can tell he has a six pack from here.

I looked away quickly. What am I doing? I practically have a boyfriend already, I shouldn't be oogling someone else.

Miss Jen led the art group out and came back to us. "Ok, so we will have to practice a little bit tomorrow. Then we will discuss when exactly this play will be," she said, giving us a wide smile.
