Monsters are better than humans.

Luke (lust sans) x sad! reader.

*not a request but I was bored, have a meme.  And this fanfic popped up in my head randomly, lately this book has been about the oc's, and I wanted to change it up a bit. Have fun~

You sat up at the bar, sitting across the fire bartender.

Lately your dating life had been total crap, every guy was perverted, gross, annoying or a total jackass.

So being bored and kind of depressed over the matter, you went into the monster bar that wasn't too far from your house.

But it was also a.. Ahem.. Let's just say dance club.. You ignored the dancers and kept to yourself at the counter.

Often making small talk with Grillby.

He hit on you a few times, but it was clear you weren't interested.

He seemed disappointed.. But kept giving you drinks anyway.

"Grillbs why does everyone have to suck?"

He chuckles and shrugged his shoulders, handing you another basket of fries. "I don't know, maybe you're lookin' in the wrong place. Or species."

"What?"

"You know, humans suck. Try a monster, you won't regret it. I promise." He winks.

You blush a light pink and hide your face in your arms, thinking about it.

..maybe you should date monster, I mean why not? Why haven't you yet?

"Any recommendations?" You ask.

Grillby smirks and looks to the right, signaling.. A dancer? To come over.

"Dang it grillbs.."

He chuckles. "Trust me, this guy is a friend of mine, he'll treat cha right."

You roll your eyes.

Then you hear the clicking of heels coming your way, not high heels.. But lower heels that still clicked against the floor.

Then shortly, a purple fluffy skeleton sat next to you, he leaned against the counter facing you.

You blushed.. He was very very attractive.. Way more attractive than any human you've seen in your life.

He smirks at you. "Heya cutie. You're not from around here are ya?"

You slowly shake your head, clearly lovestruck.

He chuckles and kisses your hand. "I'm Luke Lust. Now I wonder, is your name as pretty as your face?"

My he was a flirt wasn't he? And that last name.. Was a bit concerning.

"It's.. Y/n.. Heh heheh.."

He nods, kissing up your wrist and all the way up to your shoulder before pulling away.

Your face was redder than a brick wall at this point.

"Tell me about yourself sugar hun."

After random stories and getting to know each other better, you two have gotten very close.

You could see future boyfriend within him.

You stood up and stretched your arms, it was getting late. Time flies when you're having fun.

Luke gets up as well, he puts his hands in his pockets. "Need a ride home sugar?"

You did walk here.. And it did start to rain about two hours ago.. Soooo..

"Yeah, thanks." You smile, making him blush a light lavender.

He absolutely adored your smile.

He pulls a pair of keys out of his belt. "She's outside." He smirks, handing you his coat. "You'll need this for your pretty head."

You throw it on, it was extremely warm and comfortable. You didn't want to take it off.

He adjusted the hood over your head, then walked you out.

He opened the car door for you, it was a shiny purple sports car. It fit his personality.

He hopped into the drivers seat, and wiped the rainwater off his skull with his sleeve.

He turned the radio on, and looked at you for a split second, his neon purple eyes glowing in the darkness.

He smiles leaning over, kissing your cheek before pulling out of the parking lot.

You told him were to go and after a while he pulled up to your driveway.

He shut the radio off and leaned back in his seat facing you once again.

"Will I be seeing you again?" He asks shyly.

You nod and kiss above his non-nose. "Sure thing. Call me." You gave him a piece of paper then got out of the car.

He chuckled blushing then he left your house.

You watched his car pull away, and you went into your home with a big dorky smile on your face, and a poofy purple jacket.

You knew now that you preferred monsters over humans.
