Chapter 16

Well I have wasted about a week just lying in bed watching Jurassic Park and YouTube. So I am starting this chapter at 2:36 in the morning and yeah. So please excuse any grammar mistakes and point them out if they are major. Especially if I put 'shit' instead of 'shut'! Man I hate my fat fingers!

Annabeth's POV

Ever since Percy told me about his step father a week ago, I signed up for the one and only medical class at Goode High. I knew Percy wouldn't come crying to me every time he got hurt but if I was prepared for the time he did......

So that's why I am sitting in the science room during my free period listening to Mr. Connor talk about how to tell if a bone is broken. This class might come in handy.

30 minutes later I am standing at my locker talking to Jason.

"What did you say to Percy when our plan failed at the whole hood thing? He walked out ready to kill someone and then he walked back in like he only wanted to punch someone," Jason raises an eyebrow and looks at me expectantly.

"Well, it's kind of a long story. I don't think Percy would want me to tell you," I smile innocently at him and he pouts.

"What is so embarrassing that he wouldn't want his friend knowing about it?" Jason asks.

"Oh you know, we just had a little fight and made out," I say.

"Wait, what?!" His jaw drops and I could have sworn it was touching the floor.

"No. No, I did not make out with Percy. You are so gullible," I laugh while Jason pouts. Apparently we are his "OTP!!!! I ship it!!" Actual words from Jason Grace.

The bell rings and I head to class. But not just any class, oh no, this is architecture class! And I have never gotten lower than a 100% in this class. It's my favorite!

Mrs. Howard walks into the room and starts talking about the different types of columns and when they were originally used.

After that lesson (which I already knew) I walked to my locker and found Percy.

"You'll never believe who just asked me out! Ok I'll save you the trouble, it was Drew!" He said flailing his arms. From this sentence you would think he likes Drew.

"Why did she think I would say yes? I don't mean to be rude but she literally dates guys for a day and then dumps them. And what she said! It was actually pretty funny!" He rolls his eyes and started to laugh.

Just then Drew walks by and looks at me. "Don't even try and ask him out, Annabelle. If he doesn't want me, he most certainly won't want you. I'm sure ugly nerds are not his type," she smirks and looks in between us.

"Actually 'ugly nerds' are my type," he said making air quotations. Then he took my hand and squeezed it.

"Oh, you two are dating, huh? Well then, kiss her if you're dating her," Drew said.

Percy turned toward me and leaned down. His lips met mine and fireworks went off. What does he use to make his lips so soft? He pulls away and smiles at me.

Drew looks completely and utterly shocked.

Not to say I didn't look the same.

"I didn't know you would actually kiss her! If I had known you would do that I would have told you to kiss me!" She walked off and Percy laughed.

"You know you didn't have to kiss me," I state.

"Trust me, that's the only way she would leave me alone. Thank you for playing along," Percy smiles and walks off.
