The Road to The Return of Unsettling Fear - A Monster Hunter Story

Chapter Six

   After the storm destroyed the ship Steve woke up on a room, he looked around him but he was alone in the room he couldn't leave the bed due to the injures he got from the storm,

Steve [talking to himself]: (where am I? and what am I doing here? I can see that I'm injured but what happened to me? my head hurts, what a pain),

An old women and a young man entered the room,

The old women: (I see you're awake young man, we were afraid that you were dead when my grandson found you on the beach but you were alive so he took you and came here so I can treat your wounds, I guess you were sailing when the storm hit the area and you end up in our town),

The young man: (you're lucky that you survived that storm, I found you wearing armor and I guess your weapon was the one near you, so I you are a hunter, don't worry your armor is being fixed because it was damaged but your weapon is broke so I think you need a new one),

Steve: (yah, I remembered now, I was sailing with my friends to Tanzia city, wait.... weren't there anyone else except me when you found me on the beach?),

The young man: (no, I'm sorry),

Steve [talking to himself]: (it can't be, It can't be true, did they really lost there lives? could it be that they didn't survive from that storm?),

The old woman: (they might be alive, there are other small towns in the area and they might be ended up on one of them),

Steve: (is there any other towns on the coast?),

The young man: (two towns and this one),

Steve: (so three in total, the waves may took them on one of them, where are these towns exactly?),

The young man: (we are in the middle between the two towns your asking about, one to our west and the other to the east of here),

Steve: (I should leave then, ........... uuhhh my body hurts),

The old women: (don't push yourself too much son, you need to rest for this day and we'll help you to visit both towns),

The young man: (I'll help you personally on this I'm a hunter you know and I can help),

Steve: (thank you, my name is Steve, I was on my way from my village to Tanzia),

The young man: (I'm Dennis, so you are going to port Tanzia, you can go by foot from here but it'll take around 2 days from here to reach Central city then another 2 days at max to reach Tanzia),

Steve: (nice to meet you Dennis, are the towns far from here?),

Dennis: (no, it's actually very close just between an hour or two),

Steve: (oh so they are very close to us then, good.... I really want to go to look for my friends now but I'm in no condition to do that),

Dennis: (will there is a way),

Steve: (really!! how?),

Dennis: (I'll go check now on one town and tomorrow I'll accompany you to check the other one, though I forgot to tell you that I'm willing to go to Tanzia city too),

Steve: (good, we can go together, of course after we find my friends),

Dennis: (sounds great, so I'll be leaving you now to check the town),

Steve: (good luck and thanks for your help, I appreciate it),

Dennis went to prepare for searching of Neku and Shuri,

Steve: (man, I hope they are ok, I remember seeing a creature was flying in the storm when the wave destroyed the ship, I'm sure it wasn't a bird, it could be a flying wyvern that I have never seen before),

And Steve stayed the rest of the day restlessly waiting for Dennis to come back, and later night Dennis came back to the town and went to Steve,

Dennis: (I'm back Steve),

Steve: (welcome back Dennis, so did you find Neku and Shuri?),

Neku entered the room,

Neku: (hello Steve, glad to see you again),

Steve: (hi there Neku.... [Looking around].... where is Shuri?),

Dennis: (she wasn't there, Neku is the only one the town people rescued),

Neku: (I'm fine but I hope you get well soon Steve and also I hope we find Shuri soon),

Steve: (no need to worry Neku, tomorrow we will be departing to the other town to search for her),

Neku: (yes, this man told me your plan for tomorrow, I can fight though, this sword of mine is made to protect),

Steve: (oh really, I never saw you use it before),

Neku: (I draw my sword when it's need it only),

Dennis: (ok, I'll go finish the preparation for tomorrow, see you tomorrow guys),

Steve & Neku: (see ya),

Steve: (I was wondering, have you seen something strange in the storm that day Neku?),

Neku: (no, why?),

Steve: (I saw some creature flying in the storm, I was wondering if that monster is related to that storm),

Neku: (I don't know about that but everything is possible, how did that creature looks like?),

Steve: (I'm not sure but I think it was long as his body shape, but I'm sure it was big because it was far but I was able to see it),

Neku: (that sounds like an elder dragon),

Steve: (elder dragon?! is that suppose to be an elder dragon? You maybe right),

Neku: (yes, it's a species of monsters, very rare and very hard to find, but they are just some legendary monsters that are not existed anymore because there was one and been hunted down a long time ago),

Steve: (oh yah… it was by the Slayer of Elders),

Neku: (yes),

Steve: (he hunted down with his team an elder dragon and proved to the people that they still exist),

Neku: (that's right)

Steve: (well.. let's get some sleep, we need to go find Shuri tomorrow),

Neku: (you're right, I'll be leaving, good night),

Neku left to rest and Steve kept wondering about his family and if he would see his father ever again.
