Chapter 5: Searching

Virgo POV:

These two are never going to get together if I don't do this.

I opened Prince Leo's room to see him working on his desk.

He must be working on those documents that he had to finish.

"Your Highness, I have some news." Leo turned around in his seat.

"Oh Virgo, you surprised me. And how many times have I told you to just call me Leo?", Leo smiled and signaled to come closer.

I slowly walked over and cleared my throat. I prepared my ears and spoke.

"Gemini escaped the castle yesterday night", I announced.

Within seconds, Leo's face changed from a normal casual and happy look to the reddest face on earth. If you looked closer, you might even see smoke coming from his ears.

"SHE DID WHAT!!!!", Leo fumed.

Thank goodness I prepared my ears. If I hadn't I think I would be deaf.

Gemini POV:

After many hours walking, I found the inn on the map Virgo gave me.

I took a shower and slept there that night.

When I woke up I headed out of the inn and into the market.

If I wanted to survive I had to get some food.

It's been such a long time since I felt this free.

I sighed in relief knowing that I could return to my home once again.

Flashback...

"Daddy", I ran towards my dad.

He was working late again in his room.

"Oh hi honey, what are you doing at this time? If you want to be a big girl someday you need to get all the sleep you need.", he coaxed.

"But I'm not tired", I whined.

"Should I put you to bed?"

He slowly picked me up and carried me to my room.

He tucked me in and gave me a big hug.

"Good night my little angel", he gently kissed me on the forehead and smiled.

"Good night daddy.", I yawned.

He walked out the door quietly as my eyes slowly drifted to sleep.

End of Flashback...

I miss him a lot.

After 2 hours of seraching and buying food, I started to head out the city to go back home.

Leo POV:

After calming a down a bit I thanked Virgo and raced out my room.

I called for 5 guards to help me search for Gemini.

She doesn't know yet.

I should have told her sooner.

I grabbed my horse and rode out in search for my, I mean Gemini.

I opened the map Virgo gave me and head the same direction she said Gemini would take.

.

.

.

By the time I left the town, it was late afternoon already.

I sighed.

This is all my fault. If I just told her earlier.

I and the guards kept riding and hoping we would find her soon.

After another hour of riding...( A/N: sorry Leo for making you ride your horse for such a long time)

We were in the forest and it was quiet and dark. I could hear noises, but it was only crickets and an occasional sound of animal footsteps, I think that is.

"Okay boys, I think we should rest for now", I ordered.

"Yes sir," the guards replied tiredly.

We pulled out our tents and set up a camp for the night.

Gemini POV:

I am seriously lost.

How can I be so stupid?

Now I'm stuck in a forest with dangerous creatures and nothing but food and a really big robe.

Maybe I should turn around?

Nope, I am too late for that now.

UGH SOMEONE SAVE ME!!

I decided I should just start walking back and try to find the town and then just live there instead.

I would send dad a letter telling him that he should send a messenger to pick me up.

But if I ever wanted to do that I had to get home.

I turned around and started walking towards the town, hoping that I wasn't actually lost.
