Chapter 2: Possible Friend

Gemini POV:

"Now please send my future wife to her room and get her ready for dinner tonight."

"Should we take off the chains?"

Leo leveled a cold stare at the guard, who gulped.

"Can a person eat while they're shackled?"

"No sire?"

Leo waved a hand in dismissal. "There, the matter is solved."

They removed the chains on me and started walking me to my room.

"This is Prince Leo's room and this is your room." The guard said while pointing to the doors next to the Prince's room.

"Enjoy." The other guard said.

Enjoy. ENJOY?!? First I was captured. Second, this weirdo made me his wife all of a sudden, and now I have a room next to his. What specifically am I supposed to enjoy?

Well, everything had a silver lining, I thought. The cuffs had been straining my wrists and I rubbed the red line where the shackles had been.

I opened the doors to my room to see a comfy bed.

I am definitely sleeping on this.

There were was a bookshelf filled with books of all sorts, many of which I hadn't read.

Across the room was a balcony which gave a view of a beautiful pond with flowers of all colors surrounding it. There was a willow tree as well, my favorite.

Maybe it isn't too bad. Right?

I mean if I just read, eat, sleep, I won't have to deal with that monster of a prince. But that sounds too good to be true.

I went towards the mirror that was located close to the bookshelf only to find a disgusting alien-like thing looking at me. I blinked and saw that the creature blinked as well.

Oh, wait. That's me.

I should probably take a shower now...

I dragged myself to the bathroom and let the hot water run across my skin.

After the shower...

I grabbed a towel and walked out of the room.

"AHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING HERE!"

"Sorry, ma'am I was sent here by Prince Leo to treat your injuries."

There was a maid standing in from of me with a wooden box, which I guessed, had medicines in it.

"Oh, my apologies, I was very surprised", I calmly spoke, while scolding myself mentally.

"No need to apologize, I should have knocked before I barged into your room," she kindly said.

She seemed to be a little older than me, 20? Anyway, she had black hair that was twisted up into a bun. Her green eyes seemed tired.

"Done", she sighed as she finished bandaging up the last cut.

"Thank you so much", I exclaimed.

I didn't realize how many cuts I had even after looking at the mirror. But she seemed to get every one of them.

"Now I must leave, however, if you ever need help just call for the maid named Virgo." She smiled at me and walked out the doors.
