Gemini POV:

My fingers intertwined with hers as we walked through the hall.

She slowly lifted her head to look up at me and smiled.

"GEMINI WAKE UP!!!!!"

"MOM!!!", I yelled in fear.

"Since when did I sound like your mom? Coach says that you're on the court now." Aries clarified.

I drowsily got up from the bench and went onto the court. 

Today we were practicing some drills for this weekend's game.

Honestly, I am too tired to do any of this, but if I wanted to get someone's attention, I had to.

"Okay, Gemini, Scorpio, and Aquarius you're going to be working on shooting," the Coach ordered.

"Yes coach," we replied in unison.

"Hey Aquarius pass it to me," I called.

"Yeah, sure Gem,"

And we started...

2 hours later....

"Okay guys, practice is over. You guys can go home now."

"That was so tiring," Aries and Aquarius said at the same time.

They looked at each other and laughed.

"Okay guys, I'm going home now, see you guys tomorrow." I waved and headed out of the gym and into my dad's car.

Gemini's house...

"Gemini, don't forget to go to sleep," my mom ordered.

"Yeah, two more minutes, I have one more question left,"

"Okay, make it quick."

My mom shut the door behind her and left my room.

If middle school is like this, what am I going to do in high school?

I'm definitely screwed.

Libra POV: 

I was walking to class until I saw a familliar blond-haired silhouette walking in front of me.

"GEM!!!," I screamed across the hall while waving my hands insanely to my best friend ever.

"What the..?" said a boy next to me. He didn't understand.

Gemini turned his head around and looked at me and responded by waving his hands even wilder than I did.

The boy shrugged, and said something like, "weirdos..."

Gemini walked towards me.

"Good morning, Gem," I began

"Good mor-"

"I have to tell you something," I rattled on.

I quickly grabbed his hand and dragged him to a place with fewer people.

"I like someone," I confided.

"What!" Gemini yelled.

"Shhh be quiet, the whole world doesn't need to know," I panicked.

"Okay, so who's the not-so-lucky guy?" Gemini teasingly asked.

Gemini looked at me with his eyes full of desire to know this secret.

I stood up on my tippy-toes to reach his ears.

"Scorpio," I whispered into his ears.

"Really?" He looked at me, wide-eyed.

I bobbed my head up and down.

"Why?" he asked.

"Well, the other day when I was walking back home some guys kept calling me weird names. I was about to scream at them to get out and stop being idiots, until, out of nowhere, Scorpio came from behind and cooly asked them to stop calling me names. After that, he looked back at me and smiled and walked away. Then a couple days later when it happened again, he magically appeared again and gave them a good warning. Now those boys don't bother me anymore,"

Gemini kept looking at me, his bright blue eyes turned even bigger.

"Anyway, ever since that happened, my heart's been fluttering like crazy every time I see him," I ended. I wanted to talk about how beautiful his green eyes were and how perfect his curly black hair was but I had a feeling that would be too much.

"Oh," Gemini said, significantly less happy. I had expected a better reaction...

"You know I could have helped you out with those boys, you should have told me," Gemini mumbled with a hint of anger in his voice.

"I'm not a little kid anymore Gemini, I don't need any help," I protested.

Gemini looked at me and opened his mouth as if he was going to protest or something. Then he closed his mouth and looked away.

"Whatever," Gemini said, walking away and shoving his hands aggressively into his pockets.

I shrugged my shoulders and went to my next class.

He should know that I can do things on my own now, I don't need his help for everything.
