Chapter 9: Surprise

On the balcony that night.....

Leo POV:

"I love you too Leo", Gemini said looking up at me with her sparkling gray eyes.

"What?", I was completely caught off guard.

"I'm not repeating myself Leo", Gemini retorted.

"Sorry, it's just that I was surprised", I replied.

"Oh sorry, okay, um, Goodnight?", she waved and started to head for the door.

"Wait, Gemini",

Gemini POV:

I turned around and suddenly I felt something soft on my lips.

He kissed me.

I slowly kissed him back and let go of him.

"Goodnight Princess." Leo quietly whispered in my ear.

Leo winked and suddenly shoved me out of his room. The door slammed in my face.

He really isn't going to change

Thankfully

I smiled to myself as I head back to my room and tucked myself into my bed.

I felt a relief of my shoulders.

Leo POV

I shut the door behind me quickly.

How am I supposed to be cool when my heart is pounding so hard?

Next Morning

Even though I was half-asleep, I heard the click of my door opening.

"Leo, wake up.", said a voice.

Gemini?

I slowly opened my eyes to see Gemini with a tray of food and a wide grin on her face.

"What?," I groggily replied, trying to make sense of what was happening before me.

"Come on, get ready, and eat," Gemini exclaimed.

Flashback, earlier that day....

Gemini POV:

"Miss Gemini".

I stopped walking and turned around to see Virgo waving at me.

"Stop calling me Miss, only Gemini, okay?," I urged as I walked towards Virgo.

"Okay Gemini, I have something to tell you," Virgo grabbed my wrist and we ran into the closest room available.

"What it is?", I asked.

"Today is Leo's birthday, so I thought you might want to surprise him, you know since you told him last night."

"Wait, you heard!," I screamed.

Virgo immediately covered my mouth.

"Mwah, wmhf,", I kept talking, kind of.

"Be quiet, and yes I heard.", Virgo slowly lifted her hand off my mouth.

"So about the surprise, do you want to do it?",Virgo asked.

"YES!"

Gemini POV

After Leo finished getting ready I dragged him into the garden.

I already asked all the maids and cooks about his favorite dishes and the previous night I had stayed up, thinking about the possible presents that he might want.

After 2 hours of productive work, I was finally able to make the present and prepare the surprise.

"Come on Leo, just a little bit more."

"I can walk by myself Gemini, you don't need to drag me around. Unless you like holding my hand," Leo smirked.

"What no!!", I shrieked in embarrassment.

"Ugh, fine I'll let your hand go, but that means to have to walk fast. Okay?," I asked

"Yeah, fine," Leo sighed as he continued to follow me.

We entered the garden we walked towards the bushes of orchids.

I quickly turned around to Leo.

Leo POV

"Close your eyes."

"Okay", I replied skeptically.

She grabbed my hands and pulled me towards some place.

"You can open your eyes."

I slowly opened my eyes to see everyone that worked here and even some of the guards from the northern castle standing in front of me.

"SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCE LEO!"

Gemini turned towards me and pulled me closer and whispered, "Happy birthday Leo, I love you", in my ear. Then she handed me a box.

"Here is your present, Leo"

I looked down to see a small box in my hand.

I opened it to see a bracelet that had wooden beads that had our names carved into it.

"I was working on it this morning," she nervously said.

"It's really beautiful, thank you," I muttered quietly, still embarrassed.

Then my face slowly turned into a tomato, I mean really red.

"Is Leo BLUSHING?", Gemini teased. "It worked! Haha!", she looked at me and burst out laughing.

"I'm not", I muttered.

"Aww, how cute", she kept teasing.

"I swear Gemini, tease me again and your gonna die", I dared, starting to chase Gemini around the garden. I knew I was grinning like crazy and when she turned to look at me, still sprinting, she had a big smile on her face too.
