Final Chapter

With a final goodbye to Letty and Leon for a little while. Mia and I sit inside the house as Dom gets ready to go find Jesse. The kid missing since yesterday when he drove off from the race he had with Tran.

I'm not exactly sure what he was thinking, hell what he is thinking now. We are the only thing he's got as family at this moment since his dad is in jail. The only thing on my mind right now besides Jesse is Brian. I should be way more angry than I am, I should hate him for breaking up this family. I'd be lying if I said I did hate him, but I can't.

He's all I got left and then there's Dom, that fuckin stubborn idiot. Though I can't deny how much I actually do love him. The only hard part is that I have to choose between him and Brian, and from what I know he won't let me leave. He made that very clear on multiple occasions.

"What's going on out there?" Mia asks as we hear the shouting outside get louder.

"Shit." Is all I said as I peak through the curtains that hang in front of the window. Brian is pointing his gun at Dom while Dom is holding a sawed off shotgun in his hand.

"This is going to end badly." Mia said as she too looks out the window with me.

"Come on.." I said opening the front door walking out onto the front porch with Mia right beside me.

"Dom, stop it! It's over! Please!" Mia begs as the two men are still having a stand off.

"Brian!" I plead as he still hasn't lowered his gun. His stance firm as he holds onto his gun tightly pointing it at Dom.

"Get inside now!" Dom yells back at us but, his eyes never leave Brian.

"Harley get in the car, now." Brian said not wavering as Dom glares at him harshly.

"She's not going anywhere!" Dom shouts pointing at Brian.

Before anything else could be said the sight of Jesse's car made all of us freeze. Jesse instantly jumps out of his car as soon as the car comes to a stop.

"Dominic, I'm so sorry!" Jesse shouts in panic as he slams his car door shut.

"Oh God, Jesse." I said as Mia grips onto my arm both of us worried for the kid.

"I'm so scared right now! I don't know what's going on!" Jesse said clearly scared as he pleads with Dom to help him.

"What were you thinking, man?" Dom asks Jesse referring to him driving off at the Race wars.

"I panicked, I'm sorry!" Jesse yells as he looks over to me in hopes I'd step in.

"Jesse, come inside. Okay, we can figure something out." I said with worry as I begin to hear the sound of motorcycles ones I never thought or wanted to hear again.

Before I even have time to yell out to Jesse bullets are flying through the air. I pull Mia down with me behind the closed railing of the porch using my body to cover hers.

"Dom!" Mia shouts at the same time I shout "Brian!"

The minute the bullets stop is the minute I practically fly off the porch to Jesse. Mia right behind me as we both skid across the ground where Jesse lays with multiple bullet holes in his chest.

"Oh God, Jesse!" I sob as Dom holds him closer with tears of his own running down his face.

I look up at Brian in almost a plea as he gets in his car driving off after Tran and his cousin. Dom gently places Jesse on the ground before racing off to his own car.

"Dom wait!" Mia shouts though he ignores her as he races off down the road.

"Call the police" I said shoving her to the house as I lean over Jesse trying to hold onto as many of his wounds as possible. Even though I know we more than likely already lost him.

He's taken too many bullets to his chest to have even survived. Within minutes sirens sounded out through the air as the first responders grew closer.

"Ma'am, can you tell me what happened?" Officer Jules asks as I now sit on a gurney after being checked over by a paramedic.

"It was a drive by targeted at my family and me. They used automatic weapons, he didn't even half time to take cover." I cried out my eyes never leaving the body bag they put Jesse in.

"Did you see their faces?" Officer Jules asked as he writes down my statement.

"No, they were on motorcycles." I said trying to wipe the tears from my eyes that just kept coming.

"Do you have any idea who could have done this?" He asks as Mia begins to walk over to us.

"Johnny Tran and his gang." I said as Mia pulls me into a hug seeing my discomfort.

"No more questions." He said seeing that there's not much more to ask Mia and I are now left alone.

Time skip.....

"How long do you think he's going to be gone?" I ask Mia as we are now having a 'sleepover' in her bedroom.

"I don't know, but we won't see him for a while." She said sighing softly as she sits next to me on her bed.

"I'm sorry about Brian." I said playing with the end of Dom's shirt that I stole a while ago that I now use to wear to bed.

"You didn't know, besides it's getting late let's go to bed." She said turning off the lamp on her side table before turning over facing away from me.

"Good night Mia." I whisper back but don't get a response.

Mia could always fall asleep so quickly and now I'm left here in my thoughts that haven't stopped. Especially since earlier today. Jesse's dead, Letty's gone, Leon, Vince, Dom, and Brian too.

Oh Brian, what have you done.
