Noah
Four Months Later
Love is crazy. It's like a spell comes over you and invades your body. You would do anything, be anything for your lover. Sarah has lived with me for a long time now. Both of our birthdays past, mine in January and her's in February. I called the college campus last month and they said they couldn't accept her. Sarah showed no remorse, but I know she was crushed.
Earlier this month, Sarah came down with a really bad cold. Her fever broke 102.5. I stayed up with her for most of the night this past week. She asked me to go into the other room so I didn't get sick, but I didn't care.
She's gotten better since then, but I want her to rest. I wake up and knock on her door.
"Morning." She says, sitting up.
"Did I wake you?"
"No, I've been up for hours. I'm just resting."
"Why didn't you call me in?"
"I didn't want to wake you. You've done so much for me these past few months. You need sleep so you don't get sick." I sit in-front of her and lay my hand on her's.
"I'm fine."
"Then why do you have circles under your eyes?" She asks.
"Sarah, what have I told you?"
"I know I shouldn't be worrying about you, but I can't help it. I care about you and want you to be healthy."
"I'm as healthy as a horse." She begins to get up, sitting at the edge of the bed with me.
"I'm going to go get some coffee. Do you want any?" She says.
"I'll go, you stay here."
"Noah, I haven't moved from my bed for seven days."
"Then make it eight. The rain will only make you sicker." I kiss her forehead and stand. "Do you want the usual?"
"You know me." She says smiling. She doesn't look good. Her face is pale and her headaches have been really severe recently.
"Are you alright, Sarah? I can stay with you and go later."
"No, I'm fine! It only takes twenty minutes to go there, get the coffee, and come back."
"You don't look fine."
"I'm still getting over the cold, Noah. Stop being such a worry-wart." I walk out of the room, closing the door behind me, and begin to the coffee shop.
Sarah
Alone in the house, I wander around. I walk into Noah's room and sit on his bed. Noah's bedroom is so organized, yet so laid back. He has a certain edge that I can't seem to figure out.
Usually when I'm alone, I feel... well, lonely. But, to my surprise, I don't. I feel so loved and wanted, more than I've ever felt! Noah makes me feel like I'm the only girl on Earth! He says I am so important to him and all this kind of mushy stuff that you hear in movies.
Last week I began to get really sick with the flu. In April though? It had to be in April? Why not December or January? Anyhow, he stayed with me the entire time! The entire time! I mean, who does that?! The only time he left my bedside was to make me food. I'm telling you, Noah Anderson can make an amazing cup of tea!
I love how our entire relationship revolves around a single cup of coffee. Since that day, he's memorized what kind of coffee I get.
He's been gone for a long time. Its 1:47p.m and he left at 12:05ish. It doesn't take an hour and a half to get two cups of coffee. I look out the window to see nothing.
