Louis giggles, and jumps around in his high chair, mindlessly playing with the food his mother had prepared for him, and throwing it everywhere.
Louis doesn't hear the roaring voices of his parents fighting in the next room. He is used to it anyway, so it wouldn't matter if he did.
"You want me to leave, huh?!" Mark yells, shaking his head in disbelief as he stares at his wife in shock.
"Yes! How many times do I have to tell you?! Leave!" Jay sobs, covering her mouth. "It's obviously not working out for us."
"What's not?!" Mark asks, confused.
"This relationship! Ever since we had Louis, everything has turned to shit!" She screams in reply, biting her lip.
"Real classy, Johanna! Screaming curse words when our child is in the next room, he whispers harshly, shaking his head.
She lets out a sound, much alike a growl, her eyes narrowed in anger.
"You know what, Jay?! I will leave! But I'm not leaving without Lou," Mark tells her seriously, pointedly looking at her.
"What?!" Jays eyes widen, "You will never take my child away from me, Mark!"
"You didn't even want him! I had to convince you nights on end to not get him aborted! He wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my constant begging."
A tear falls down her cheek, "I-I guess you're right..." she whispers. "Take him, Mark. But please let me see him, and call him. I can't live without him."
The only reason she is really giving up Louis, is because she wants her youth back. Wants to party, and go clubbing without having to worry about the baby. Less expense helps too.
"You know, I really thought you would've put up more of a fight. Shows me how much you care about our baby." Mark sighs, and leaves the room to go pack his, and Louis' stuff.
Jay walks into the room, and groans at the mess Louis had made. "Really, Lou?!" She grits through her teeth.
Louis looks down, and whimpers. He has a prominent pout on his lips, "sowwy," he mumbles. Sorry is one of the limited amount of words he can say.
She huffs, and starts picking up all the food off the ground. "Sometimes I wish I never had you! Your father and I would still be happy! You ruined everything."
"That's where you got it wrong, Jay," Mark says from the doorway, hand full of bags, "you ruined everything by being a bad mother and treating our son poorly."
Jay rolls her eyes, "just leave."
"I'll be happy too!" Mark says, seriously. He walks up to his son, who is still pouting. "Darling, I'm gonna put these in the car, and come back to get you. Okay?"
"Otay." Louis mumbles, as his father leaves, then begins to make a spit bubble.
"Knock it off, Louis! It's just gross. You're leaving soon. Hug me goodbye."
Louis screws his eyebrows together, confused.
Jay gently lifts him out of his high chair, and hugs him softly. "I'm sorry, baby."
Louis leans back, so his facing his mother instead of hugging her. He puts both hands on her cheeks, and pushes them together so her lips become smooshed. He kisses them and giggles, "lob you mumma," he squeals.
"Love you too, Lou boo bear."
He smiles at the nickname.
"Alright, Lou! Ready to come with dadda?!" Mark asks, walking into the room.
He nods excitedly, "yesh!"
Jay smiles sadly, and passes him to Mark. "Look after him, Mark," she says, tearing up again.
"I will. Look after yourself, Jay." She nods and blows Louis a kiss goodbye, as Mark carries him out to the car.
She watches out the window, as Mark buckles Louis up into his car seat, before getting in himself, and driving away.
