Time Flys When You Worry About Death

I didn't even hear the boom. I just saw people running. Running off their platforms and charging towards the cornucopia. It really has been 2 weeks? I only remembered the scores, which I got a 12 on. Then I agreed I would go with the careers like I always did and now I am here. Cole is screaming in my face as I stand there blankly.

"LEENA GO!" He screamed.

I blinked and spotted a orange backpack. I leaped off my podium and sprinted towards it. Then the girl from 6 snatched it up. I growled and began chasing her. She screamed and ran farther and farther into the woods. I heard laughing behind me and I saw Madeleine chasing me with a sword. I screamed and kept chasing the girl from 6. She tripped on a stick and began tumbling down the hills.

I slid down the hills and pounces on top of her. I quickly snapped her neck and took the backpack. Madeleine was coming up so I kept running. I tried to find where the cornucopia was and then I ran into the boy from 12. He screeched and stabbed me with a knife in the stomach. I screamed and snapped his neck too. That was sort of my thing...

Then I found Bree from district 1 sitting near a tree. She stood up and laughed. I passed right by her and then I heard a scream. Everything went quiet. I slowly turned around and saw Madeleine in my face pushing me down to the floor.

"Your not going to be the winner for these games!" She screamed in my face.

I began screaming and kicking my feet but Madeleine placed the knife right onto my neck. She began digging into my skin. I screamed and realized. This was it. I am dying. I died. I failed. Until something hit her. She went tumbling onto the floor with someone ontop of them. I began to stumble up and ran slowly towards a tree. I climbed it and sat on a branch.

I began crying for my wounds and a cannon went off. Hopefully Madeleine died. Then I felt something touch my shoulder.

"Hi Leena."
