In the previous chapter. . .

"To Ye-Ran High." She told the driver as she silently played with her ruby encrusted cross earing, her eyes distant, fixated on the sky.

"Soon, Raizel..."

Now we continue.

Lunch. It was the time all students students craved for, not only mentally, but stomach-wise as well.

"Let's get Rai and go to the cafeteria." A short boy with glasses told his friends, a tall redhead and two girls - a green eye and a straight hair.

Turning to Rai, the children witnessed a sight for the first time - the raven haired was not looking out the window, instead his attention was on a golden necklace with a ruby pendant in the shape of a feather.

"I'll return! I promise!"

These words echoed through his mind, yet it has been such a long time, that he began to wonder if they were a mere illusion created by his consciousness.

With a heavy sigh, he gently placed the jewel in his pocket, his attention back on the window, a way of calming himself, watching the outside world, but it only made his emotions enter a greater turmoil.

"I think we should leave him..." The redhead said, trailing off.

"You're right, Shinwoo." The short one agreed.

"He needs to think about whatever is on his mind." The green hair - Suiy - nudged Shinwoo and the shortie, Ikhan, to the door of the classroom. "You too, Yuna." She called as the brown eyed girl reluctantly turned and followed them down the hall.

As the children left, the Noble sat, looking out the window, his silence being teared apart by two sets of footsteps, a girl and a boy, both white in hair.

The two looked at each other, confused as to why the Noblesse was in such a sorrowful mood, yet they didn't ask, they wouldn't dare pry into his privacy.

No more words were exchanged through the duration of the day, it was so silent - quieter than usual - as the four children and three Nobles headed out of the school grounds.

"Do you know what's wrong with Rai, Seira?" Yuna asked the white haired girl, Seira, who only shook her head, not possessing such knowledge about the Noblesse.

In truth, not only the children were worried, but the Nobles as well, this being made clear by Regis' unreadable face.

As they passed by the gates, a smooth voice mocked in a sad tone, "Has it been such a long time that you have forgotten my appearance, Raizel?"

With a look of shock plastered on his face, the raven haired in cause spun around, his eyes widening at her sight.

There she sat, leaned on the stone fence of the school, her midnight black hair longer than before, reaching down to her waist and her eyes, the same warm amber pools he knew so well.

"Annalise..." Surprised, he breathed out.

She pushed from the wall, walking in front of him, and looking up to his face, she slightly frowned.

"I hate that you're still taller than me." She grumbled under her breath, folding her arms over her chest.

Completely catching her off guard, Raizel wrapped his hands around her and hugged her tightly.

'He wasn't one to get touchy before.' Annalise thought to herself.

"You're back..." He said, still taking in her return.

The busty beauty chuckled. "I did promise I'll be back, didn't I?"

*Cough*

Letting go of the beauty in his arms, Raizel turned back to the children and the Nobles, whose looks of confusion and surprise didn't go past Annalise's eyes.

"I do suppose that introductions are at order." The amber eyed female smiled at them. "My name is Annalise Nightingale, it is my pleasure to meet Raizel's new friends." She shot the said Noble a look. "Although he still has some explaining to do regarding certain things."

Raizel simply averted his gaze, knowing full well that she was going to explode at him later that day.

He was right. She did explode at him later that day.

Arriving at Frankenstein's mansion was the calm before the storm, so to say.

After she met everyone and introduced her blue haired companion, she turned to Raizel and, with a smile that could give chills to any serial killer, her eyes flashed red for a second as she began to pace the room, scolding him like a child.

Out of fear, the RKnights hid behind the kitchen counter, only the brave ones standing in the living room, witnessing Annalise's outburst.

"-I swear I'm talking to a wall!" Frustrated, she huffed out. "You fought Muzaka! Out of all the people, you had to fight the Werewolf Lord! I know there are circumstances that I'm not aware of, I really do, but that doesn't save you, mister!" She stopped right in front of him, hands on her hips and golden eyes ablaze, glazed over by a layer of un-shed tears. "Do you know how worried I was for you?!"

The Noblesse simply looked at her, his eyes both amused and ashamed at the same time. True, he was happy to hear her scolding him again, but this time, it saddened him to know how worried she had been when his surge of power flew across the lands.

"I'm sorry." He apologized truthfully, looking straight into her amber molds.

She calmed down for a bit, her anger still rolling off of her in smaller waves of fury. "Don't ever do that again, you idiot."

"I won't." He offered a small smile, making her grin at him once again.

From the kitchen, Tao perked his head up, looking over to the living room as there were no more signs of a fight between the Noblesse and the Princess. "Is it safe?" He asked no one in particular.

Takeo and M21 looked at the hacker just as Regis peeked over the side of the kitchen isle, stealing a glance at the now calm living room. "I suggest we stay here for the time being, just to be sure."

The end.

I'm sorry.
