This side up, handle with care
Please be gentle, it’s quick to scare
Fragile like glass and small as a mouse
A cage of bones is where it is housed
It’s been beaten and bruised
Thrown ‘round and abused
Black and blue like a bar fight
Only truly seen at night
But can you really, on me, place blame?
Like a moth, we’re drawn to flames.
Can’t fight the urge, the desire
So instead let’s bathe in the fire.
If I’m to hurt, I’ll do it myself
Push it right off of the top shelf
And as it shatters on the floor
We’ll begin this game once more.
