Third Person POV
The rest of the day carried out normally. Hailey and her mother finished their cleaning just before dinner time. They had enough time to bring the freshly washed items back to their owners. When everything was dropped off, the two women made their way back to their house.

Dinner was the same as usual, beef and vegetables. The meat would change but other than that dinner was always similar. The family ate in peace as the sun started to set. Hailey was last to finish her meal. She ate the last bite of her dinner then got up, grabbed the empty plates from her family and put them into the basin.

"I'm going for my walk, bye!" She said rushing to get out. "Woah woah, hold on young lady," her father said stopping his daughter before she could leave. "The last time you went out you came back an hour after curfew!"

Hailey sighed, "Yea I apologized for that didn't I? I just lost track of time" she tried to explain but her father was having none of it, "No! You are not lea-"

"Malcom, she's nearly an adult now. Let her do her own thing. Yes she made a mistake once but it won't happen again, right?" Her mother reasoned while looking at Hailey. She frantically nodded her head in return. The strict father turned to his wife and then back to his daughter, "Oh alright" he said going back to his seat.

Hailey whispered a soft "thank you" to her mother. She smiled back and told her to grab a hoodie to keep her warm. After a quick run up and back down the stairs, to get her hoodie, Hailey left for her walk. She stuffed her hands in the front pocket of her hoodie. Thank God her mother told her to wear that hoodie, when the sun went down it became freezing cold!

Because of the cold-night-weather, everyone was inside their houses. Hailey walked along the broken city sidewalks alone, listening to the rustle of trees in the distance. She was heading to her favorite spot. It was right on top of the wall which separated her world from danger.

The reason she liked this spot so much was because of the forest, she liked to imagine what was beyond the big trees. Plus the streetlights didn't work there. They were broken for about three years, this was good because it kept her out of sight.

You would think that this area would be a jackpot location for other Stealers, oh how wrong you'd be. To solve this light-problem, Malcom set explosive mines around the outside this particular wall. It took about six months for all nearby groups to learn this and since then they never came near that area.

Hailey's eyes adjusted to the darkness. She could see the outlines of trees, lampposts, collapsed buildings but that was it. The girl was about fifteen feet away from the wall. She stopped, took a few steps back then ran at the wall as fast as she could. She jumped up and just about reached the top. The strong arm muscles in her body helped pull herself up and onto the flat surface of the wall. The width of the wall was 30 inches, the perfect size for Hailey to lay on with out loosing her balance.

After a while of laying there on the concrete wall, she started to get a headache from it. The girl sat up and squinted her eyes, searching for any comfortable item just hanging around. Nothing came into her view so her best idea was to take off her worn-out shoes and use them as a pillow. They weren't exactly the best choice but they didn't give her a massive headache, so they worked.

Hailey started dreaming, once again, about the world before the war. She imagined herself covered in pretty make up in a bright colored dress, just like the girls in the old magazines at her house.

One of her favorite things to do was imagine dating the perfect boy. A cute, friendly boyfriend who would love her for who she is. Who would want to go on to marry her and have an adorable little family, with no care in the world. They would move into a cosy family home and live happily ever after.
