It was a cold night when I had received a text from a friend. I had been sleeping so I didn't respond until 4 in the morning. The weather warmed up a bit but I was still cold so I turned my heater on. I put my jacket on and sat in my bed. It was too early to go back to bed so I sat quietly listening to music. I was listening to Girls/Girls/Boys by Panic! At the Disco. It made me think of a friend of mine I have a small crush on. I sat there until around 6 in silence except for the sound of music. I then stood up walking around my house blaring out rock music. I went to go to a mirror and looked at my eyes. They were still grey like usual, except for the one dark blue one that filled in when I met my friend. I sighed and went outside to my car, I was going to go meet my friend at the park. Heading over there in silence and there was barely any traffic on the road. After several minutes of driving, I finally arrived at the park before stopping my music. Walking along the pavement I stopped when I saw them sitting on the bench. Upon seeing them I asked why they wanted to see me to which all they did was turn their head and I knew. "Oh. My. God. Who was it?" They didn't respond and only smiled. Their eyes a bright green color matching the hairband they had placed atop their long black locks. "Hey, Casey." "Hey, Amber." Both of their eyes were filled in and I repeated my question. "It was this person I met yesterday while I was sitting at the ice cream store." I gasped and she continued her story. "Do you know if theirs filled in as well?" She shook her head no and I nodded sitting next to her on the bench. "You should meet up with them, it'll be great." She smiled and said that she does have their number. I smiled and said that she should call them and ask about hanging out sometime. She said that she would and called them right there. After the conversation she informed me of their pronouns and that he would love to hang out. I was excited she was finally gonna meet her soulmate. I hope they get along well. After all that we started talking about other things and our friend, Scott showed up. He sat next to us and asked what was going on and Amber explained who she met yesterday. "Oh my god..." "I know! It's great isn't it?" "It sure is!" We all were smiling at this point and I excused myself after an hour, having to be somewhere that afternoon. While walking to my car I bumped into someone. Apologizing I looked up and realized it was a tall person with short brown hair with one filled in the light blue eye. Looking up at them I apologized once more and made my way to the car, driving home. When I stepped inside I then went to the mirror just in case to check for any sign of filling and after finding none I went to my appointment. After I was done everything seemed fine and I headed home for the day. I was exhausted at this point and flopped on my bed about to fall asleep. After several minutes I finally fell into dreamland and everything seemed to calm down. I awoke the next day early like the day before and repeated my routine from before. Except when I looked at my eyes I noticed my second eye was filled in but only part of the way. It was only filled in halfway. I was confused but at the same time not. Maybe it was that guy from yesterday but maybe not. Thinking back on it yesterday I had met quite a few people but the rule was you had to spend at least 8 hours with them over the course of 5 days. Who did I meet and spend time with for more than 8 hours this week? Let's see, that guy from work I've been talking to recently, my doctor, and a new friend I had made. No one else, let's try and narrow it down. I doubt it would be my doctor since I had met him but not spoken to for about 2 weeks at this point so I doubt it would be him. The guy from work I've known since I started but haven't spoken to him until a week ago and that new friend I just met them yesterday. So the guy from work and my new friend are all I have to go off of. How much time did I spend with them? Let's see I spend about an hour and a half with the guy at work for this entire week and I spent about I think around 3 hours with. Maybe it's slowly filling in as I spend time with them? It could be, I'll have to go and check the web of knowledge (aka the internet) when I get the chance to. Heading downstairs I grab me a quick bite to eat and put my sunglasses wanting no one to see my eyes yet until I figure out what's going on. I left the house heading to see my new friend at a diner. When I looked out in the rearview mirror of my car and drove away to see them.
