"Who are you?" Rose asked her girlfriend when she woke up from a coma.

Kanaya scared, responded with "It's Me, Kanaya. Don't You Remember Me?" she then looked at her confused. Kanaya worried stood up and sat by Rose, "Are You Feeling Alright?" Rose held her head in her hands and proceeded to groan. Kanaya worried repeated her question. The only response in return was a big head shake of no.

Rose looked up to her girlfriend and said "No, I have a headache. What's going on?"

"Well You've Been In A Coma For A Few Days."

"Oh..." Rose quietly responds with, laying back down on the hospital bed. Kanaya proceeds to get off the bed and pull a chair beside her in case she wished to sleep. "Is Everything Okay Rose?"

Sitting back up she looks at Kanaya like she just offended her by saying her name. "Who's 'Rose'?"

Now freaking out Kanaya excuses herself and walks into the next room with the doctor. "May I Ask What The Diagnosis Is?"

The doctor reaches in the room grabbing Rose's file and going back standing in front of Kanaya saying "Well, by the looks of it. Ms. Lalonde is suffering from amnesia."

Kanaya stood back in shock quickly regaining her calm look. "What Can I Do About This?"

The doctor looks over the file and instructs Kanaya to be of service and care for her but not to cause her any stress and let her mind take its own course. "Okay, understand?"

Kanaya nods and ask if there's anything else. "Just be by her side she's gonna need some help through this difficult time. She's likely very confused and scared right now."

Kanaya nodded walking back into the room. The doctor following putting the file back and exiting the room. Upon entering Kanaya found her girlfriend fast asleep in her bed. She sat by her side wishing silently for her to recover without any problems but having a sense that there would be some. But she still hoped and wished that nothing would go wrong. Going back in her memory she looked back over the day this all started.

Kanaya's POV

It had started out as a normal day for me and Rose. We had been sitting on the couch enjoying the television when our friends Dave, John, and Karkat entered. They then joined us and every once in while Karkat would yell something at the tv and Dave would have to calm him down. Soon after the two of them left leaving John to hang out with us. Rose then began speaking to him about what to do when they reach the new universe and began speaking about battle strategies regarding Lord English. Once they were finished after about a half hour of speaking John had left the room once again leaving me and Rose alone. Everything was going smoothly. She then after having spent an hour drinking asked if we could go take a walk to which I agreed and we went on our way. We found our way into a hallway with a staircase near the end of it. Rose and I found ourselves near it and she went in to kiss me. I was nervous but at the same time excited to see where this could go. But Rose being drunk slipped and fell down the stairs. Worried out of my mind I ran down the stairs in a vain attempt to catch her. I failed and found myself holding my matesprite unconscious as I almost wept. I stood up after a minute of gathering myself and ran to a doctor nearby. After checking her vitals and placing her in a bed. She was said to have been in a coma. As to which I sat beside her holding her hand cause I didn't want her to be alone going through this. I cared too much about Rose to ever leave her alone during a time like this. Throughout the days of which followed I would be by Rose's side hoping she woke up. Some trolls would walk in asking if she and I were okay to which I shook my head no. One day Karkat offered to stay with me and sat beside me giving me a hug. "HEY KANAYA, HOW'S ROSE DOING?" "The Doctor Says Her Condition Is Getting Better. But She Still Hasn't Woken Up Yet, Which Frightens Me A Bit." Karkat gives me a sympathetic look as I watch over Rose in a vain attempt to try and wake her. A few hours later Karkat left after long discussions about quadrants and Dave. What Dave would technically mean by quadrant standards, about the one human quadrant they have called I believe "love" and how it pertains to my relationship. After those Karkat left leaving me once again alone in the quiet hospital room with my comatose lover. Now in the present Rose and I sit side by side, me explaining the situation at hand. Rose nodding along but still not quite understanding, but remembering the doctors words I stopped as to not cause her brain too much work. Having us sit there in silence echoed throughout the room. There wasn't a sound besides our breaths and the beeping of a machine in the background. She kept looking at me in confusion. The rest of our friends knowing of her wakening and a few of them being on their way. Mostly her brother and 2 friends from their original session and Karkat. After their arrival Dave would make small comments here and there about how he and Rose are the "dope ass siblings" and about how great of friend she is. The rest would follow and say the same Karkat staying mostly quiet having sat by my side to comfort me and on occasion say something to Rose but keeping distance as he tends to shout. The rest would tell stories of their adventures and Karkat and I would sit back discussing our own matters. With Rose's awakening the two of us discussed how to slowly bring her memory back but at the same time not cause stress on her brain since by the looks of it. It causes her a great deal of pain to remember certain things. We had sat there watching them interact, Dave showing his sister concern and saddening looks to which he normally wouldn't give. Rose every once in awhile asking a question of her own before sitting back in silence holding her head. Karkat and I took notice and went to ask the doctor about it who only said to take some medicine to calm it down. We nodded and asked if we could have some now since she looked to be in a great deal of pain. They nodded and went to go get some me and Karkat returning to the room to find Rose asleep. John said he recommended sleep and she listened. I nodded and sat back down. We all quietly conversed until the doctor returned with the medicine. I thanked them before carefully waking up Rose. "Hey, The Doctor Would Like You To Take This." She nodded and asked for a cup of water to which Karkat went to fetch before returning and handing to her before taking the pills. She took them and said she felt better and fell back asleep. We all decided she was better left off alone and went back home but and the rest dragged me back too even though she still isn't better I want to stay there. The doctor said they would tell me if anything else changes in her condition. I nodded and reluctantly going with them. Once back all I could think about was Rose, I was worried about her. What if something happens and she gets hurt again? What if she dies? What if I'm not there for her when she needs me? What if she wakes up alone, what will I do then? I'm so worried and my mind is racing. I don't know what I'm going to do
