6:28 AM
Less than six hours left

"Christian, seriously, isn't there one fucking day you won't trip over nothing?"

Jimin stood up, brushing imaginary dust off his jeans. "Jeez, it's not like you were affected." He looked up at Taehyung. "Stop narrowing your eyes."

"My eyes are narrowable when it comes to your clumsy actions."

"Harsh."

Taehyung pulled out to hold Jimin's hand, and led him to the nearing coffee shop. Seokjin had already went inside the kitchens before Taehyung could even see him.

It was Jimin who ordered their drinks and snacks, while Taehyung was left seated on one of the cushioned seats. Two on the left and two on the right, and two coffee tables separating them both.

Taehyung almost stood up to assist his best friend with the tray, but Jimin shook his head and motioned for him to sit. The younger's seat was facing the counter and most of the coffee shop area, whereas at Jimin's seat, he could see Taehyung, a table behind him, and another window. Then, they both sat down in silence.

"Is he there?" Taehyung asked.

"The cashier staff, Yeri, assisted me. I asked her if Seokjin-hyung is here. . . she said she had to ask hyung first if it's okay for us to meet."

Taehyung played with Jimin's hand, smiling forcibly. "It's okay. Thanks."

No, it wasn't okay.

But he needed to be patient.

There was a short pause of silence as Taehyung let go of his best friend's hand. Sounds of feet shuffling and the doors opening filled the silence, followed by muffled voices of coffee orders.

Caramel, Taehyung heard from the counter, no, no, make it ice-less.

Taehyung heard the sound of someone sitting down, of someone opening their laptop; he would hear the sound of two people who just went inside as customers. He could hear their orders and movement.

And it stayed on his mind.

He looked back up at the counter, to see a guy handling the cashier. No she — no 'Yeri' — whom Jimin had asked about Jin. Not unless the guy preferred the she or her pronouns, but he most likely, did not.

Taehyung heard the sounds of drinking, the subtle footsteps, and the time ticking. He heard the door open again, just in time for another customer — he looks at the newcomer and sees the guy from earlier with doe eyes, who eyed him suspiciously — and Taehyung looked back down timidly on his plate of waffles.

"I don't want to waste your time, Tae. What are you planning to say to him?"

Taehyung stopped biting the waffle at mid-second.

"Taehyung, this isn't a joke. We're wasting time." Jimin sounded serious, and Taehyung would be lying if he said it didn't scare him a little bit. "Please, just maximize your time. I can go there and ask ab—"

"No, no no, Ch—Jimin, please."

"Well," Jimin leaned towards him, "what are you planning to do? We're sitting here for ten minutes — yes I'm counting — and you're getting so silent." He looked back at the counter to look for Yeri. "Where'd she go?"

"Please calm down."

"Shush." Jimin seated properly again. He had his back towards the counter, while Taehyung could see it perfectly. "Alright, I will. Take your time and if you need me, just take off my earphones."
