Charlie's Hero

"Seth kissed you?" Emma asked as we walked through the hallways of the arena for Monday Night Raw.

I hadn't talked to Dean at all during the week. I found myself missing him, but just couldn't talk to him. Not after what he did.

Then I remembered.... "Crap! We have a storyline together." I said.

"I totally forgot." Emma said, "What are you gonna do?" She asked.

"Hey." Seth said as he walked up.

"Hey dude." I said.

"Listen, Vince wants to see us. All of us. As in....."

"Dean's gonna be there." I finished for him.

"It'll be okay. I'll be there for you." He said, grabbing my hand.

"See ya later, Emma." I said.

"You two have fun." She said, wiggling her eyebrows.

I gave her a look before walking away with Seth.

"So....sorry again about that kiss." He said.

"Stop apologizing. It's cool. It happens." I said.

He chuckled, "Yeah." We arrived at Vince's office, "Ready?" He asked.

I nodded and walked into the room. I sat down on the couch and Seth sat down next to me.

"Hello Charlie." Vince greeted.

"Hey boss." I said.

"I just wanted to address the storyline between you and The Shield. More specifically you and Dean Ambrose. I want you two to speed things up. Have some romantic tension tonight. Make me proud. That shouldn't be hard right? I mean, you two are together." He said.

I looked over at Dean. He was looking at everyone and everything, but me.

"They're actually not." Seth announced, "Not anymore."

Mr. McMahon's expression changed. "And if you don't mind my asking, why is that?" He asked.

I looked down. I could barely speak. I couldn't get my words out. Not that I knew exactly what I was gonna say. I mean, what was I supposed to say? 'The guy I loved cheated on me and kissed another diva on your roster'?

I looked over at Seth for an answer.

"Um..." He spoke up, "In all do respect, Mr. McMahon.....it's kinda private." He said.

"Oh, I see. Well, I sure hope the storyline won't be a problem." Vince said.

"It's cool, Mr. McMahon. We can do the storyline. Right Dean?" I asked.

He finally looked up at me. He kept his eyes firmly locked on mine. "Yeah." He finally said.

"Okay, just make me proud." Vince said, "You're excused."

We walked out of the room. I tried to rush away.

"Hey, C!" Seth called out.

I turned around and walked back over. Roman and Dean were in deep conversation.

"What's up, Ninja?" I asked.

"Wanna hang out tomorrow? We can go to the gym and workout, then we can head to the arena early and work on those moves I've been showing you." He said.

I smiled and nodded, "Sounds good." I said.

"DEAN!" I heard someone exclaim.

I turned around to see Summer coming towards us. I rolled my eyes.

"Hi Dean. Wanna go to a movie later?" She asked.

"No, Summer, we aren't together." He said.

"But baby." She protested.

"No Summer. Look, you already ruined my chances with the girl I love. I'm not gonna let you keep ruining everything." He said sternly.

Seth and I glared at each other and the watched Dean and Summer.

"But, I thought we had something special." She said.

"Summer, what the hell? What part of NO don't you understand? I don't wanna go out with you. I LOVE someone else. And because of you she wants nothing to do with me." Dean said.

Summer eventually barged away and Dean rushed up to me.

"Charlie, please talk to me." He begged.

"No." I said sternly.

I turned to walk away, but he grabbed my arm and spun me around, "You can't just hide from me forever."

"You can't keep doing this to me, Dean!" I shouted, "I'm not like those other girls who don't have self respect and just don't give a crap. I do give a crap. You kissed Summer. You pushed me. You promised me you'd always be there. You promised you'd always protect me. I thought you'd never do this to me, but I was stupid. I was stubborn and stupid. And so many people warned me about you. They warned me about how much of a jerk you'd be. But I was too involved in the fact that maybe I could actually be with someone who liked me for me. Maybe even loved me. But it's not you. You don't love me. You used me. And I won't be used, Dean. Never again." I said before I stormed off.
