Charlie's Hero

I got ready and we went to the beach. No one else was there. I saw a picnic table with flowers.

"Awe, Dean." I said.

I walked over to it.

I saw a basket filled with food. I sat down on the bench and Dean sat on the opposite side.

"We've come a long way." Dean said.

"Yeah." I said.

"Charlie, I want you to know that no matter what happens, I'll always be there for you." He said.

I smiled, "What's making you act like this?" I giggled.

He stared into my eyes, "You're just.....so beautiful."

I giggled again and noticed he was just staring at me. This was awkward.

I snapped in from of his face, "Dean!"

He grabbed my hand and pulled me next to him for a kiss. Where was this affectionate side of Dean coming from?

I smiled.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I love you too." I said. "I like this romantic side of you."

He smirked, "Oh, I forgot the drinks." He said. "They're in the car. I'll be right back."

I nodded. I turned my attention back to the picnic.

I started thinking about all Dean and I had been through. Starting off being scared of him. Now....I wanted to be with him. I was even in the Shield now. The Shield and Evolution were currently feuding. I was always there. Still the reigning and defending Divas Champion and I planned to be for a very long time. We had come so far.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing. Text message.

I looked down to see that it was from Dean.

Turn around.

I slowly and confusingly got up and turned around.

Dean was on one knee looking up at me.

My jaw dropped in shock. My hands were over my mouth as Dean reached into his jacket and pulled out a tiny box.

"Charlie, I love you so much." He said. I was speechless. "I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. You've made these past months amazing. I want you in my life. I need you in my life." He opened the small little box to find the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. "Make me the happiest man in the world." He continued. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "Charlie Doucet, will you marry me?
