It was the end of times.

Stranded and alone, as the hum of various ships flew about the skies, observing the ruins for any form of life. All was quiet and still, until they spotted lone figure standing on a platform. It was a Spartan. The last human on the whole planet, standing in broad daylight with weapon in hand. Humans never give up without a fight, they always fight to the last man.

The invisible voices began screaming throughout the air, as word was passed to almost every single radio on the planet. It then became a rave of the nearest transports to get there and defeat this lone spartan. The battle then began as dropships swung down and unloaded waves of foot soldiers. From the Small Uggnoy, to the large Sangheili, everyone was sent in to destroy this last human. Purple needles and multicolored balls of energy filled the air as bullets began to join them. The bullets ripped through any in its path, splattering blood everywhere in various colors. Blue, Dark red, purple. And just when it seemed the spartan was out of weapons, he found another somewhere.

The battle had been going on for some time now. The spartans visor was now cracked with a hole in the visor, showing signs of him giving ground to the seemingly endless waves of aliens. But he kept fighting, harder, and harder, with each kill.

But finally, the battle was over. The spartan threw his helmet to the ground, for it was too damaged. Electing to use his own eyes than the eyes of his cracked visor. He picked up the assault rifle and began fighting once more as a Sangheili in gold armor tried to sneak up on the spartan with blade in hand. But the Spartan was faster than the blade. Spinning around and hitting the alien on his head with his elbow, then finishing him off with a pistol. Another alien began to charge him, only to be met by a wall of lead as another joined the fray. As his comrade fell the sangheili approached the Spartan who knocked him away. More Sangheili rushed him, eventually knocking him to the ground for the final blow.

But the Spartan refused to fall. He dodged the blades quickly and continued to punch and kick those who surrounded him. And as the leader of the Sangheili approached, the final nail was put in the coffin. The one the spartan had knocked away was back. An energy dagger formed on the aliens fist and it plunged itself deep into the Spartans chest. The fight from the spartan died down as he slipped into the void, until eventually the Spartan laid there, unmoving.

The Lone wolf that had refused to go quietly into the night, finally went with a scream of bravery.

The Red Sangheili, the one who killed this Spartan, reached down to grab a trophy from the body. "Stop. Leave him." Spoke the Leader, which in turn the Red armored alien looked up. "Take no trophy. This one was a true warrior. He fought gallantly, even when we had him on the ground without weapons, he still refused." The leader explained as the Red Sangheili stood, dumbfounded at this statement. "He fought like a feral animal in the wild! I deserve a trophy from this kill!" The Sangheili spoke out, riled by the statement. "If you were in his shoes, you would have given up and killed yourself before they even attacked." The leader replied as he began to walk away. The Red Sangheili sighed in defeat as they walked away, leaving the Spartans body to rot in the dust.
