- Morning - she walked out to the kitchen on a Saturday morning. - Morning sleepyhead. - he turned to his wife to give her a morning kiss. He looked at her and he fell in love again and again. It was a thought month for both of them. There was a lot of hard case, more than 20 murder, she worked every day from 6 to 11. She was exhausted. - Sleep enough? - he asked and gave her a mug full of her favorite cafe. - I think so...Rick, can we talk? - she asked and he could tell she was nervous and she was talking with a lot of sadness in her voice. - Sure, about what? - he asked and they sat down. -You know... we are trying almost 6 months and I don't get pregnant and I was thinking maybe there is a problem with me because you already have a daughter so..- she said those words with tears in her eyes and sadness in her voice, she really, really want a child with her husband. - Kate, it was a tough month. You were freaked and stressed out and you were working all day and night. Maybe you should have some day off. I'm sure you are fine. - he embraced her to his arms. - Can we go for a walk? Maybe to the swings? - she looked up to him and he gave her a peck to her lips. - Of course, we can. Go change and I'll make some breakfast. - he could tell she was disappointed and he felt that he needed to tell her how much he loves her. - Kate, - he called after her and she turned around - I love you, no matter what. - he walked near to his wife and she hugged him close to herself. - I needed to hear that. - smile smiled and started to go to their room but her husband pulled her back to invite her into a passionate kiss. - Go. - he gave her one more kiss and let her go but she wants more of his lips. Their tongues started to dance, her fingers were in his hair and her other hand was pulling him closer to him. His hands were roaming all over her body but one of his hands always stayed on her ass. - I have to go change. - she parted and started to went to the room. - You tease me. You will get that back! - he said and she couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. He went back to make breakfast while she dressed up. When she went out her husband was on the phone fighting with someone. - Bye! - he said with a lot of anger in his voice while putting the food on the plate. - Who was that? - she asked while they sat down. - Gina. She said I have to go to the Hamptons. She organized a book signing and a party too. I just don't know why. Everybody knows me there. - he said while his wife was getting upset with every word he said. - When do you leave? - she asked and put down her folk. - Tomorrow morning and I have to stay for two days, but today will be ours. - he tried to smile at her but he was as angry and sad as her. - Perfect. - she murmured. She took days off to be with him and not alone. - Hey, I'm as angry as you but you can come with me. - they finished their breakfast and started to go to their place. - You know I hate these book parties and Gina and I hate each other, so no thanks, I'll work. - she said with sadness in her voice. She wasn't angry, well yes, she was but she was more like sad. She just wanted to spend someday with him. - I'm sorry. - he apologized while he tangled their fingers. - I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at that damn woman. - she said while he chuckled. - You are so adorable when you are angry. - he kissed her head and she couldn't help but smile at his words and at how easily his words could make her smile.- I was thinking, when I finished at the party you can come to me, or I'll come to pick you up. - they turned around the corner, hand in hand. - Sounds good to me if you come to me. I don't want to go on my own. - she shrugged her shoulder. - As you wish. - he smiled at his love and continued their way to the park. She has not left him alone to go to the Hamptons since their first wedding went into a tragedy and she didn't know about her lover for two months. That was three years ago and she still doesn't want him to go there alone. - You know, I can drop you off and I can come back after we had dinner in the backyard. - she brought up one of her ideas. - This would be amazing but I don't want you to drive in the dark and the signing will start at 11 pm so I will have a break at one o'clock and then I'll be there maybe three more hours because after I gave autographs to everybody, we will have a meeting. - he destroyed her idea but she kept going. - Then Alexis can go with you or maybe Martha. - she really, really doesn't want him to take that road alone. - Kate, I'll be fine. - he looked at his wife but she wasn't looking at him. - You can't know that. - it was just a whisper what she was letting out but he could hear it crystal clear. - Honey, look at me - that was one of the pet names she likes, but she did not look at him - Kate, look at me. - he pulled her back by their tangled fingers - I won't go anywhere. Nobody will take me away and nobody will try to kill or kidnap me. That was three years ago and I came back. Don't forget that I'll always come back to you. - he lifted her chin to look into her eyes. - Can we at least talk on the phone? Please. - she was like a little scared puppy in an inexplicable way. - Of course, we can. Are you okay? You look so.. I don't know, you look so not yourself. - he stroked her face and she leaned on to his touch with her eyes close. - Yeah, I can feel it, I'm very emotional but I have no idea why.. - she opened her eyes and looked around at the alley where they were talking - You know I don't like kissing in public but can you - he cut her off with his lips on hers. He put all his love into that kiss, he kissed her like they never kissed before. He knows that something was up with her and she was maybe...maybe missing some love? He needed to show her how much he loves her. When her tongue was asking permission he immediately let her in and their tongues started to taste each other then started to dance. She slowed the kiss down after the heated dance. - I love you. - he pecked her lips again. - I love you too. Now, let's go to our swings. - she smiled and they continued their journey hand-in-hand. - What the.. - she stopped when she noticed that the swings were gone. There were tapes around the big area with "Architectural area" on it. -This day is better with every minute! I can't believe this. - she took a look at her husband who was standing wonderingly. - I think we should find a new swing. - he was sad of course but he wasn't as sad as his wife. - No, Castle you don't get it. This was our place! When you went to the Hamptons with Gina that summer I came here to read your book. We made up here after my shot. After Ryan pulled me up from the rooftop I came here and realized that I can't live without you. You proposed to me here and I said yes here. When the whole city was chasing me we met here. I told you here that they offered me the senator's post and we talked about it here... - first, she was angry and furious but to the end, she was sad and disappointed - Why's everything turning wrong? - he didn't see her like that in ages and that's scared him. The strongest woman who knows was falling apart in front of him. - Let's go home. I'll make you your favorite lunch and we will watch whatever you want. - he hugged her and kiss her head. - Castle, what's wrong with me? I was never like this before. - she neither get it what was going on with her. - It's maybe because you are tired. Tired of everything. - he hailed a cab and they went back home. - Do you wanna cook with me? It will be fun. - he smiled at her as they walked into the kitchen. - Yes, why not. - she was moody but she wants to be near him. In an hour they made lunch and went to cuddle up on the couch with plates full of pasta carbonara. They started to watch Grey's Anatomy but after she ate her food and put the plate down she leaned her head onto her husband's lap and fall asleep at the end of the first episode. He carefully put a pillow under her head and went into their bedroom to call his publisher. - Hey, Ricky! Are you packing for tomorrow? - she asked when she picked up the phone. - I wish I could but I can't make it. I can't go, my family needs me, she needs me and I won't let her here alone like this state. - he said and he was already prepared for her publisher yelling. - What?! I'm sorry but we rent a house for the party and there will be people who came from other cities to meet their favorite author. You have to come! It's an order. - she said furiously. - I said I can't. At least not for two days. - he didn't want to leave her for a minute. - Okay, I will see what I can do but you owe me one. - before he could say anything she hung up. He was thinking almost a week ago about what to give his wife for her birthday and now he got an idea. - Hey Alexis, you have a minute? - his daughter picked up the phone. - Hey dad, sure. - he could tell she has that adorable smile on her face. - Unfortunately, I have to go to the Hamptons a day or two and I need you to go there today. - he was whispering, not even try to wake Beckett or make her hear what he was talking about. - Okay, what have you done? - she asked and he rolled his eyes. - Nothing, I just need your help for a day. Pack your stuffs and see you tomorrow morning. Love you, be safe. When you arrive call me. - he waited for her answer and hung up. He went back to his wife who was still sleeping like an angel. He decided to go into his office to search after builders. He found some of them and called them up. He made an appointment for today and after that, he went to pack his suit, shoes, and his laptop with his pen drive. He decided to cook something for dinner while his wife was sleeping. He waited for hours for her to wake up but she didn't. When he accepted that she will probably sleep 'till morning he picked her up and brought her to their room. In the morning she was waking up to the sound of her husband's alarm. - Morning, beautiful. - he noticed she's awake and kissed her cheek. - Morning babe. Why didn't you wake me up? You have to go to the Hamptons for two days and we will hardly talk and I will miss you. - he was surprised about the last words because she does not usually say that she will miss him, she more like to keep her feeling to herself. - I will miss you too but I'll be back sooner than you think. I made last night some soup for dinner and I didn't want to wake you up, so there is some soup for today. - he kissed her again and went to the bathroom for taking a shower. She was cursing herself for not being awake yesterday. She wanted to spend a day with him so badly. He came back from the shower, only in a towel and he went to his wardrobe to find something to wear. - Are you really have to go? Can't you just stay home and maybe we could cuddle in the bed? Or do something else. - she went behind him, wrapped her arms around him, and start kissing his naked back. - As much as I love that idea I really have to go but I promise as soon as I'm done with everything I will come back and I'll bring you with me. - What if I changed my mind? - she asked and he turned to her. - You want to stay when I come home? - he asked while he wrapped his arms around her too. - No. I want to go with you. Now. I don't care about your bitchy publisher, I want to be with my husband and I will be with my husband plus I've never been with you at these parties and signings. - she put her arms around his neck and gave him a peck. - Who are you and what did you do with my Beckett? - he asked and she started to giggle.- Very funny Castle... - she smiled at him. - Are you sure you want to come? I will be sitting behind a table all day after I finished the conference. You will be boring. - he tried to convince her to stay at home. - If you don't want me to go with you just say it. - she turned around and started to walk back to their bed. - It's not that. I just don't want you to be bored because I know how much you hate being bored. - he pulled her back  - Go get change while I made some food for the ride. Hurry up or we gonna be late. - he kissed her and they went to separate ways. She quickly took a shower while Rick made some sandwiches for their journey. After he went to pack some things for his wife, clothes, her toothbrush and things like that. - Why are you packing clothes? We have them at the Hampton house. - she said while she came out from the bathroom. - I know but we will stay in a house that Gina had rent for these two days because of the parties. - he explained. - Oh, I see. Are you ready? - she asked and he nodded - Then let's go. - she smiled and they went to the parking area. They sat in his car and started the journey. - Hey pumpkin, we are on our way to the Hamptons, Kate decided to come with me. - he called her daughter. - That's fantastic. Be safe and have fun. Will you go to the house first or the signing place? - she asked with nervousness in her voice. - We will be at a house that Gina rents for us. - he said. - Oh that's good. Call me if you arrived. Love you. - she hung up and he took a look at his wife. She was looking out of the window with sadness on her face. He rolls out his hand and held hers. To that movement, she looked at her husband who was smiling. She smiled at him and held his hand stronger. - Is it just me or do you look sad in the few days? - he asked her when she turned back to the window. - At the last month I barely saw you and I missed you and I still do. Your stories, your staring, your jokes, your perverse theories at the precinct.I miss your care full touch at work. I miss us. And I want to be near to you for the next two weeks. -  she was watching their hands. - You took two weeks off? - he was surprised, she never took more than 3 days off. - Yes. - she smirked at him - As I said, I want to spend more time with you and I miss you. It feels like we are not even married like we are not even together. - he could tell she was sad, like really. - I will do everything to not feel that. I hate seeing you like that. - he said while parked down the car. - Oh Gosh Castle I didn't bring dresses for the nights. - she closed the car. - Yes you did. I packed you everything. - he smiled at her while he was going closer to her. - Thanks - she smiled when he stepped in front of her and he kissed her. Slowly and passionate. He felt like he didn't show her enough how much he loves her. - I love you. More than everything and anyone. I'm the luckiest man in the world because I can call you my wife. - he smiled at her and kissed her again. - I love you too and I want to show everybody in there that I'm your wife. - she smiled and they went in hand-in-hand. - Ricky! Go sit behind the table. - she told him where to go they started to follow her. - Please bring a plus chair to Kate. - he pulled her after his self with their tangled hands. - We have no place for three people behind the table. - she tried to put Kate out of the signing. - You don't have to sit with me, my wife does. You are my publisher not any of my family members. You will be talking to the people who came. You always do and I won't start any discussion about this. - he said and put a chair next to his. - Mr. Castle are you want something to drink or eat? - a waiter asked after they sat down. - I would like a coke, Kate you want something? - he turned to his lover. - A coke for me too would be fine, thanks. I'll go change, I'll be back in a minute. - she smiled and leaned down to kiss him. She changed as fast as she can and then went back to sit next to Castle. - Hey, you choose the black one. - he smiled at her while she sat down. - Yeah, I know you love this dress. There are a lot of people here. It's kind of a crowd. - she smiled at him and she watch him giving signings and taking pictures with his fan. - Rick, what do you think? Can you do a question and answer, because we have more than 2,000 people here and I'm sure they all have questions for the two of you. - Gina went to the married couple. - Of course. If you are okay with it. - he turned to Beckett. - Yeah, sure let's do it. - he was again, surprised because of her behavior but still amazed. - Okay sign for 30 minutes and after that come to the stage. - she smiled and went to prepare the stage for them. - Hey, can you sign my next year's calendar? - a young woman asked when something hit Kate. - Don't stop signing until I come back. - she whispered to his ear and quickly walked away. He didn't know where Beckett goes but he did what she asked for and in 40 minutes she was back. - Hey, sorry I'm here. - she sat back to where she was sitting. - Hey, where were you? - he stood up and pulled up Kate too and they started to walk to the stage. - I was in our room I had to call Lanie. - she smiled while they sat down again, but on the stage. They started the question and answers. - When did you start to like each other? - a woman asked. - It's different because I was in love first and I think I started to feel something after a year of working together. - Castle said and gave the microphone to Beckett. - I started to like him after two years but I deny it for two more years. - she answered. - I don't want to be rude but before you met Kate you were a playboy. What changed? - someone asked and she gave the microphone back. - I fell in love with her. I never met anyone like her, the looks on the eyes, her brain, her heart. She makes me laugh, she challenges me and I became a better man. - he smiled at her who was blushing deeply, and they answered the hundred and more questions until the party has to started. - You know, you amaze and surprise me every day. - he smiled at her while they joined the dancing pairs. - I'm trying. - she smiled back - We have to come tomorrow too, right? - she asked. - Yes, I have to come but just in the morning and you can stay in our room if you want. - they sat down as the actual music ends. - Just in the morning? - she had a wide smile on her face. - Yes, because I want to surprise you at home. While you were sleeping I called Gina and I told her that I can't come because you need me. I didn't want to leave you alone at home, you were so sad these few days. - he held her hands. - Yes, but know I'm perfectly fine. What do you think, can we stay for a few more days here? - she asked, still smiling at him. - I would love to. - he kissed her cheek - Did you enjoyed the day? - he gave her a glass of champagne. - Yes, I kinda liked it. I thought it will be worse. - she said while they took a ship from their drink. He wanted to say something when his phone buzzed. - It's Gina, she said that we can go up if we're tired. - he put his phone back in his pocket. - Let's go upstairs. - she took his hand and they went to their room. In the morning she woke up alone. When she turned to where her husband was sleeping she was facing a huge bouquet of roses with a card on it. - My love, I'll be finished by 12 o'clock. Breakfast in the kitchen. Love you. - she read the letter and went to the kitchen. She looked at the clock, it was almost 11 o'clock. She went to the kitchen table where Rick left her, her breakfast. She pure herself some coffee and sat down to eat. After she had an amazing breakfast she went to have a shower. When she came out under the hot water she put her towel around her body and went to her bag to choose an outfit for the day. While she was dressing up Castle went to their house where his daughter was. - Hey, Alexis, how are things going? - he hugged the redhead and they started walking to the backyard. - Everything is fine the swing is done and it looks amazing. I think she will love it. - she smiled at Rick when they arrived. - She will love it. - he kissed her cheek and paid the builders. After everybody left he drove back to the hotel. He opened the hotel room door and noticed that his wife was awake. - Hi, when did you wake up? - he walked to Kate and gave her a kiss. - Hey, about an hour. - she smiled while he sat down beside her. - Are you ready to go? - he asked and she nodded. - Yes, I packed our things. - she kissed him once more. They grabbed their thing and went to his car. - Rick, the house is the other way. - she let him drove the car. - Yes, but we can go down to the beach. I thought you will want it but if you're not I have many more things in my mind. - he looked at her for a moment then looked back to the way. - Sure, we can go. - she smiled at him. All day they were relaxing at the beach and they were enjoying each other's company. - Can we go home? I'm hungry and tired. - she asked and they went home. - Kate, I know you will hate this but I will cover your eyes. - he took out a kerchief from his pocket. - Okay, what are you planning? - she asked and let him put the kerchief in front of her eyes. She let out a little yelp when her husband picked her up without any warning. - I was thinking a lot about what I could give you to your birthday and when we went to the park and you saw that they building a supermarket you were so upset and sad about our swing and I found a new one. You can open your eyes. - he was taking her to the backyard in his arms. - Rick! - she was amazed while she stood down on the ground. - Hope you like it, I know it doesn't have a history but..- he said and she kissed him. - I love it. This is the best birthday present. Ever. It will have a great history. - she smiled and kissed him again.

He walked to the swing and sat down to it with Kate. She cuddles closer to him and he held her close. -Happy Birthday. - he smiled at her and kissed her. - Thank you. You know, the swing at the park meant a lot to me, because those two things were the only thing that was ours. Not just yours or not just mine. I know that we have the same place to live but it was yours and then it became ours. - she looked into his eyes and he simply nodded 'cause he could see there was more she wanted to say. - But this, this is totally our place. Yesterday I went out for an hour I think and you asked where did I go. I have a surprise. - she kissed his cheek and walked to her bag. She picked out a gift bag. - Now it's your turn to close your eyes. - she smiled at him and he put his hands in front of his eyes. - You can open it. - she said after a few minutes. When he opened his eyes he could not believe them. - You sure? - he looked up at his wife who reached into the bag and took out four more pregnancy test and put down at the table while he stood up. - I think I'm sure. - she smiled wildly as her husband took her into his arms and spin her around. -You are pregnant! We are pregnant! - he said out loud while he put his wife down. - We did it. - she smiled at him. - Thank you. - he kissed her slowly. - For what? - she didn't understand she should be thanked for him. - For giving me another child. - know it was her turn to kiss him. They were smiling like two idiots as they sat back to their swing. - Hey baby, it's me, your daddy. I can't wait to meet you. We are so grateful to have you. I already love you so, so much just like your mamma. - he put his head to her belly and talked to his baby while her fingers were in his hair. - I love you. - she pecked his lips. - You, have no idea how much I want this baby. - she stroked his face while a tear left her eye. - I do have because I want it as much as you did. - he wiped the tear away and pecked her lips a few times. - He or She will be a part of us. She or He will be ours. - she said, hugging her husband, sitting at their swing.
