Chapter 6

authors note: Nathan was based on a real person with whom I shared the passion of MLB and writing. He had asked if he could be in one of my stories. I have just heard he died in a car accident. Through this fanfiction I will make sure he will never be forgotten. <3

Adrien woke up with in a room he didn't know, he tried to turn onto his backside when there suddenly was a pain shot coming from his back. He turned back until he was on his stomach and started to think, how did he get here, what had happened. Suddenly he started to remember everything, the fight, the akuma and the fall. Someone came inside the room.

"Oh thank God you are awake, My name is Zoë, I'm the nurse who is taking care of you. It's an honor to finally properly meet you Chat Noir" 'Chat noir? Was he still transformed?' Adrien thought. He looked in the mirror and saw his face was covered by a ski mask. "I'm sorry, it was the only thing we could come up with to keep your Identity a secret." The nurse said apologizing.

"Thank you, Adrien said, but could you explain what happened?" There were still a few blanks in his memories maybe the nurse could fill him in.

"Of course, during the fight you landed on your back, right on the scar you received when you were a kid and doubled over in pain. I realized there was still a glass fragment embedded in your back and that it had to be taken away. We carried you to my house where my wife, Alice, has a practice. She is the one that operated on you to remove the last piece of glass. Don't worry you won't have a new scar, in fact the old one will be even less visible, she is a plastic surgeon you see, so she knows how to hide scars. That way you won't have to hide it with makeup anymore."

That last sentence shocked Adrien. How did she know about the make-up. Seeing the confusion on his face Zoë started to explain.

"Ladybug explained everything about the scar and how you got it, that is how I knew about the glass shart. The make-up she told me when we were waiting for you to wake up. She was really worried so I tried to calm her down by talking about you, that always works."

That did explain a lott but there was still one thing that was bugging Adrien. How did Ladybug know about the scar. He only told his princess that story. He started to think about it, Ladybug knew a lott about Marinette and Marinette always knew details from the battle that didn't even make the Ladyblog. First he thought they were really good friends like Chat and Mari but he had never seen them together. Come to think of it he had never seen them together at all, when one of their classmates was akumatized Marinette would disappear right before Ladybug would arrive.

It's a that moment that Adriens whole life finally made sense. His Lady was his Princess. He had been so afraid that he had to choose between the two, he loved them both so much. And the last days were the worst, always trying to figure out which one he loved the most. But now he didn't have to, they were one and the same person. This was the best day of his life, he had finally found his lucky charm.

" Is she still here?" he asked the nurse.

" She left a few minutes ago because her transformation was nearly over but she'll be back any minute now. You two really are such a cute couple."

Adrien blushed at that. "We aren't a couple" he said.

Zoë had finished checking the stitches so she sat down on a chair next to the bed.

"Really? Ladybug said the same thing but I just can't believe it, the way you two move and communicate together it seems like you two have a telepathic link." That mad Adrien blush even more, he was very grateful for the ski mask now.

"She is right you know, everyone sees it" said a voice at the door. Adrien was so deep in thoughts that he hadn't heard the door open. He looked up and saw a young man he vaguely remembered from somewhere but he didn't remember where.

"Sorry to disturb you. I'm Nathan, the street dancer who had been akumatized. I wanted to apologise for what i had done." Adrien usured Nathan to come closer and sit down. Nathan had brought a basket with lots of snacks and a get well card that he gave to Adrien.

"Thank you Nathan that is really nice of you. But you don't have to apologise it wasn't your fault, you were under the influence of the akuma."

The three of them talked for a long time getting acquainted with each other. Adrien realised he was not so different from Nathan, they really had lots in common. Both had absent fathers and both had a way of relieving all the tension. Nathan while dancing and Adrien as Chat Noir. Adrien was sad he couldn't tell who he really was because they could really be very good friends, maybe one day they will meet when he is in civilian form and they will become friends again. Zoë was for Adrien the mother he needed, she was very easy to talk to and took care of him like he was her own child. It's with the three of them laughing that Ladybug entered the room.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything" she said. Adrien's face lit up when he saw her, he was so happy to see her again. Zoë and Nathan looked at each other with a knowing look: this guy is so smitten for Ladybug. Their laughter broke the silence and both Ladybug and Adrien turned their head to face them.

"It seems I missed something." Ladybug said.

Both Zoë and Nathan stood up to leave the room. "We will give you two some privacy to talk" Nathan said smirking. They were still giggling when they left the room.
