You're Not Invisible

Chapter 20

*Stacey's POV*

I was sitting there for a long time. Waiting on my plane to board. Everyone is going to hate me. I had to leave, it was for the best. Right? I can't go back, everyone will hate me now.

"Flight 320 is now boarding." I grabbed my bag and walked over to the ticket line. I was getting ready to hand the lady my ticket when someone said my name.

"Stacey?" I turned my hear around and there stood Shay and Hunter.

"What?" I walked over to them.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Doing what? Leaving?" they nodded their heads. "I'm leaving because it'll solve everything. Why did you come here?"

"To stop you from leaving."

"Well it isn't going to work. Goodbye." I walked back to line and gave the lady my ticket. I boarded the plane.

"Please let us get on." I heard Hunter fighting the lady to get on the plane. I took my seat and waited for the plane to take off.

My phone buzzed and I dismissed it. It continued to buzz and I finally shut it off.

20 minutes later the plane finally took off and we were in the air. I stared out the window and tears pricked in my eyes.

*Hunter's POV*

I fell to the ground and held my face in my hands. "I can't believe she's gone."

"She'll be back, I promise."

"How do you know? She hates me." Shay helped me up and we walked out the airport. "I'm going after her."

"Give her some space and time. She'll be back."

"I'm going after her, whether she likes it or not."

"Then I am coming with you." Shay told me.

"Fine. Let's go." I texted the others to let them know and Shay and I got the next flight.

The flight wasn't very long to Virginia. Once we landed we got off and I typed her address into my phone. It was about 15 minutes away, not to long.

The cab driver parked out front and I paid him. I stood there before I knocked. Her, what I assume to be, brother answered. "Hello? Who are you?" he asked me.

"Hunter, Stacey's boyfriend." He let me in and directed me towards Stacey's room. I knocked and she said to come in.

"What are you doing here? I'm fine. You can leave." She pushed me out.

"Wait. Give me a minute." She shrugged her shoulders and looked at me. Her deep blue eyes staring at me. "I love you so much. I'm lost without you. You are my world, my life, my everything. Without you it's like fish without water. You are my other half, you complete me. There is no one who could ever replace you, no one in a million years. You give me hope, strength, and faith. Just waking up beside you every morning can make me the happiest man alive. So what we all have made mistakes? So what someone is trying to tear us apart? I love you and nothing could ever come between us. I would do ANYTHING for you. I would take a bullet for you, take all your pain and regrets away if I could, but I know that I can't. There will always come a time when someone will try and bring us down, someone will try and separate us, but you know what? Forget them. Forget everyone around us. Lets just focus on you and I. Lets focus on what you and I can become. We can become stronger and make it out on top. Lets show the world that the things they think we can't do, we can do. I can't do that without you. I will love you until infinity. Forever and always. You have to trust me and believe in me. You have to let me help you, not run away from your problems. Nothing is going to get better when you run away. Face your fears and prove people wrong. Without you there is no point in living. I'd rather die than be without you. Every memory that we share will last a lifetime. The first time I met you, the first glance we shared, the first hug, it all means do much to me. I don't want to forget it and move on from it. I want to share more hugs, more glances, and so much more. I want to be the first person you can come to when you need someone to vent to, scream at, hit, or just sit in silence. I want to be the one who you can share all of your secrets with, good and bad. Most of all I want to be the one who helps you through everything. I promise that I won't hurt you. That you can trust me. That whatever happens will stay between you and I. I promise to love you forever and always, till the end of time. Give me the chance to show you that not even Gracelyn can tear us apart. We are stronger than that, I'm nothing without you. It kills me to see you here, in this house, getting abused. Let me show you what life truly is about. Life isn't about what happened in the past, it's about what we make our future. The past doesn't define you. And most of all family isn't about DNA, family is about who loves you and cares about you. The people here, they don't care about you. If they do they wouldn't abuse you. You are so much more than the eye can see, so much more than you see. I see it everyday. I see how strong you are, even if you are broken on the inside. You're a strong women. You're not alone anymore. You have me and amazing friends behind you. Please don't do this to me, I need you. And I know you need me. I need you to show me which path to take in life. You guide me. I know forever doesn't seem like a long time, but I promise I will NEVER stop loving you, no matter what happens. I know that you are only trying to do what is best for me, for all of us; but it's not. We all need you around. Shay is your best friend, no matter who he dates. You two have a special bond, I need you most of all tho. Please come back, please with me?" I looked at her intense gaze.

"Hunter...." She said to me.

"Please." I begged.

"I just need some space. I'm sorry." She looked down at the floor.

"I understand." I left the room and sighed. "Let's go Shay."

"I want to talk to her. I'll fly to Nashville in the morning. You go ahead." I nodded and left for the airport. I got on the plane back to Nashville and cried in my hands. What did I do wrong?
