"So where were we?" Harry mumbled scratching his chin as he sat surrounded by Gryffindor and Slytherins, and two Ravenclaw but one was right next to him grinning like a loon.
"I'd just been arrested in year 2" the loon spoke. "And don't think I don't know that you're referring to me as a loon." Draco added leaning most of his body weight against Harry trying to knock him over.
"Me, refer to you as a loon? Never! That's blasphemy, is what that is!" Harry stuttered, grinning despite him being practically laid on by the other.
The others watched in amusement. They didn't know how easier their lives would be if only Harry and Draco has gotten along when they first met. Now that they watched the pair they realized that they maybe shouldn't have encouraged their rivalry.
"Anyways, back to the story!" Draco exclaimed from on top of Harry. He had managed to knock the boy over and was now using his as a settee.
"Hey!" Harry reached and knocked Draco's elbow from him chest causing the blond to collapse fully on top of the other with a loud 'oomph'. "It's my turn to tell the story!"
"Actually I have a question about that." Both boys turned away from each other to face the speaker, Neville, who was awkwardly bunched in between Luna and Ginny.
"Yes?" The boys replied in unison, which was oddly unsettling. It didn't help that they both cocked their heads to the side creepily.
"If the story has most of what I would assume as Harry in Hogwarts and Draco in Azkaban then how would Harry know the entire story?" The others nodded as if they had thought the same thing but just didn't want to speak aloud.
"That's simple." Draco answered sitting up and letting Harry sit up as well. "I tell Harry everything!"
"In excruciating detail." Harry added shuttering as if remembering some former trauma. Draco just looked at his best friend.
"So you don't have to worry, he's got this." The blond replied smugly. "And if he doesn't. Well I could always take over from there."
The group seemed satisfied by this and they all sat back on the pillows they had brought to the abandoned classroom; they had come to realize that these stories were long, and they might as well get comfortable while they hear them.
As Harry opened his mouth to speak Ron suddenly remembered something and raised his hand silencing Harry.
"I just remembered. What did you mean when you said that Draco was the master of the universe?" Harry grinned at the question and covered Draco's mouth rapidly fast when he went to complain.
"This is some information that is important to the story, but I wanted to give you all a heads up. Draco had a lot of time on his hands when he spent his summer in Azkaban, and when Draco has time on his hands it really isn't good for anyone." With that settled, in Harry's mind and not the others, Harry relaxed his grip on Draco and moved to once again sit beside the blond. The others were not satisfied this time around but saw that neither was going to give them any sort of spoiler so remained quiet and let Harry begin.
"So I was in my house that summer, heroically plotting on ways to save my best friend from Azkaban where he was framed for a crime he didn't commit!" Harry dramatically stated. He clenched his right hand over his heart wrinkling his school uniform in the effort to make the scene more tragic.
This is where Draco cut in.
"He wasn't plotting." Draco snorted shoving Harry to the floor. Draco turned to the group with a smirk "Uncle James told me Harry was moping in his room. What was the word he used Harry?" Harry's eyes widened in horror and he tried to tackle Draco to keep him silent, but Draco jumped to his feet and was spinning around the room evading any attach that Harry threw at him.
"Oh yeah I remember now. James said and I quote 'Draco, don't you ever go to jail without my son again! I couldn't handle him. He spent the entire summer moping about like a rejected lone sick puppy. And do you know what's worse I had to do his homework for him. Now don't ask why I'll tell you, he just looked too sad. It was like depression shot him in the face.'" Draco laughed doing his best impression of James Potter. "Though I can't really say anything. Remus said that Regulus and Sirius were worse than that. They kept trying to break me out of Azkaban!"
Harry suddenly stopped "yeah, they got me to agree to help them and we all got caught by Remus trying to sneak out of the house dressed like ninjas." Harry hummed looking proud of himself. "Since I was a depressed 13 year old Remus blamed them and locked them in their rooms. He had to lock them in the basement when they tried to get to you by jumping out the windows."
Draco smiled fondly as he pictured his brothers trying to climb down a three story house art night. Sometimes, like now, he really missed them. In this universe he knew that neither knew him. It was one of the things that tipped him off that they were in the wrong dimension. While Harry got letters from his dad, which wasn't unexpected, he also got some from a Lily Potter in their time spent here. Draco on the other hand, had only received packages from a Narcissa Malfoy, and three worded letters from a Lucius Malfoy. They didn't even use a term like mother or father when they signed small notes to him. He kind of felt sorry for this worlds Draco.
Draco was brought out of his musings when Harry's arm suddenly dropped on his shoulders and he was pulled to the floor again.
"Anyways it was summer, Draco had just been arrested....."
